4K, that is awesome! I looked at the puzzle. Is that physics? Never took that. The last geopuzzle that I solved using advanced math…well, I solved it without using math at all. So maybe I have a chance with this one too. Way to use your noggin on finding an alternative solve method. Congratulations Rich and Sue 🙂
Congratulations on finishing this challenge! I first heard of it at the WGA campout this year. I didn’t know you were pursuing it. I am sure interesting stories and photos accompanied you all the way! 🙂
I love stories like this! While not as profound, I had a reunion of sorts due to geocaching.com. Back when I betgan caching, I went to a meet & greet, and who is there but a staff member from my high school. Mrs. Sloughfoot greeted me warmly and welcomed me to caching. You never know who might be a cacher! 😀
Congratulations to Team Honeybunnies on the new little bunny! How fun to keep the caching tradition going 🙂
I was able to attend this year’s event, as well as the previous five. I appreciate the efforts made to improve it each year. Specific problems that I had were addressed as they occurred and were not related to committee preparation or event staff. (for example, hotel issues) One thing, as mentioned as another cacher’s concern, I was also confused about the multis/offsets, and therefore had to depend on the kindness of strangers to point out what wasn’t made clear in the booklet description. I did like the groupings of caches and was especially grateful for the parking coordinates. While I didn’t use a bike provided on the trail, I considered it, and thought it was a very good idea. I am not opposed to a Lucky 7/gambling theme. Maybe the event theme could be “7”, and there could be many caches with different themes of variations on seven. Also, you probably already do this in some fashion, but ask the local businesses how you can improve things from their perspective. Not just how to increase revenue, but how the event can be more respectful of their customers or property, or maybe more would like to be included as venues.
Missouri. I have relatives there and cache a little when I visit.
Thanks everyone! In some ways 1500 seems like I have come a long way, and then I get inspired and realize I have just gotten started. I have met many wonderful people through this hobby and visited new places and revisted favorites. So much more to see and do…caching on! 😀
7000–wow! I hope it is not the “End of the Road” for your caching. Great series for a milestone. Difficult to have a favorite cache in it, and I am sure the weather only added to the fun. Congratulations 😀
Congratulations on your milestone! I haven’t done many Wherigos but I do know they are fun and interesting. It sounds like you had a bit of interesting with the fun… 🙂
Congratulations on both miletones! It has been many, many years since I was at Amnicon Falls. I enjoyed your photos in your log. On to many more memorable caching moments! 🙂
07/18/2013 at 9:21 pm in reply to: JimandLinda will be on WPR July 18th and talking Geocaching #1971021Very informative! I learned things about the history that I didn’t know. And what is this about another broadcast next week? Anybody have additional information?
Welcome! Just got notification you are attending the West Bend Cache Ba$h. Lots of opportunities to meet cachers from all over. Until then (and after), this is a great networking place. Have fun caching! 🙂
Sounds like the Bubolz booth, only with the potential for a lot more passersby!
Just don’t expect me to demonstrate the technology! 😳
But to that end, if you had a way to have a laptop open to GC.com, to show a cache page, then show someone how to load the cache (either by download or by entering coordinates), how to search by zip code, etc., that might be a demo option. Those of you with the better GPSr models might help Cabelas make some sales  I know I would be more likely to purchase if someone were demonstrating its use on a one-to-one basis, especially with no vested interest in the sale.
Still waiting to hear on tentative plans, but if I am available, I would be able to help some of the time.
What help do you need?
Welcome! I have done a bit of caching down that way. It is a beautiful area. Enjoy caching and networking with us WGA folks!
