What a great tribute! You were very helpful to me in my early days of caching and along the way as well. I am glad your journey has been a fun one, and on to the next milestone! 🙂
Thanks for the congrats, everyone!
Hello!
The game is what you make it. Some have a lot of time, others not as much. Cache alone as a family or go in a group. As your children grow, you can foster their interest in caching, and hopefully they will enjoy the outings. Keep an eye out for events in your area and you can develop a network of caching buddies.
Have fun!
Wow, 9000! The stories you could tell… oh, wait, you do! 🙂 Keep on keeping on. 10,000 is in your sights.
And I haven’t had any hot chocolate since, though not for lack of trying. I hope to change that at the LCG event. Might even earn seconds!
Welcome!
You may find the Recommended caches section especially helpful if you are planning a trip up to Wisconsin. You can read old threads, and post where you will be if you want additional suggestions.
Happy caching!
The last time the Packers won the Super Bowl, one of the expo centers near Lambeau Field was set up with quite a few big screens (like projector screens), and they had food vendors and some other entertainment. It was billed as family-friendly, no alcohol…not sure if they did this the following year.
Thanks everyone! I think I understand now.

Why, oh why did GC.com take their very helpful Website forum and stick it into that less than useless “feedback” thing? There was usually an easily found thread on whatever the problem might be with fixes or at least an acknowledgement that the problem exists. Now, it’s impossible to know what’s going on…
I went to the Groundspeak forums and maybe it is just me but they are not that easy to use. Yes, they have a nice listing of topics, but I remember back when I first started geocaching I went there for help and there was a topic section devoted entirely to problems with technology. I did manage to find one thread, perhaps there are others, regarding the topic and it seems people are frustrated with this. They are being told by customer service to resize the pictures. I know how to do this when I am viewing them on the screen but not in the upload process. Several comments have been made on how this is not a feasible option. I guess I will check back to that thread once in a while, maybe try uploading a photo now and then. But given the comments so far, it doesn’t look promising.
I am still unable to post pictures with my logs. After I log a cache, I click underneath my log on Upload an image for this log. I browse the file, finding the photo in one of two places on my computer. I click on the photo, then give it a title on the File caption line. Then I click the upload button. It thinks about it for two or three minutes, and then I get an error message with the GC logo, Waymarking logo, and Wherigo logo.
I have been able to view these photos on my computer, e-mail them to myself and others, and load them onto those digital keychain things. What am I doing wrong that they aren’t uploading to my logs?
I first got to meet you at the Toga Flash Mob, and then again at the Green Lake Leprechauns group search. It was nice caching with you and I have gotten to find a few of your caches as well. I hope North Dakota brings you happy caching! (oh, and whatever else you expect from life 🙂 )
Hey, it’s another cacher in the club–welcome to geocaching and WGA! I have cached neither in Madison nor in Hawaii, but at least I have never been to the Hawaii. Madison should be a destination for me for a day of caching. Maybe I will see you around then!
Welcome to the WGA! My plans to visit your area several years ago fell through. Now that I am geocaching, I hope to get there. Check these forums regularly for opportunities to socialize, help with technology, or ways to help on committees and at events. Have fun!
Welcome to the WGA! Visit these forums often for tips, information, and social interaction. Keep having fun caching!
Good for you, Sherry! Now on to 1500!
