A handful of birds, perhaps house finches, are feasting on the berries of my nearby tree.  I suppose it’s all a balancing act on the thinner branches up high, but they seem to make it harder by leaning over and pecking at the berries upside down.  Still, it’s nice to see some birds.  They always seem to disappear in September.

Four more weeks on crutches without bearing weight on that foot, but at least the splint is off and I can take the orthopedic boot off as needed.  When I’m done with that boot in 10 weeks, I’ll be trading it for my pair of winter boots.

Yes, I knew what you meant.  I could have gotten one but it seemed silly when confined to home.

No scooter races.  Just crutches.  I have a walker too but don’t feel as comfortable with that.  You’d think with three legs, I’d be 50% faster, but no.  I’m OK with small steps.  Nothing but time.

Thanks for noting the day, Jim.  (I’m sure it was only to have a unique post.)  The days are running together and it takes a minute to remember the actual day.  One day I actually used the TS thread to find out!  I miss activity…
