FTP for Valentine’s Day. The first concert I ever attended was Jerry Lee Lewis at Summerfest.
6 inches by my estimate here too. My work commute takes me through six municipalities. I can sure tell where the boundaries are by the plowing. Two roads cross three municipalities each. The road can be fine, and then suddenly…not. Then there are the side streets, which by contrast, were excellently cleared!
Oh, I didn’t know you were in Mississippi. I thought it was strange if it had been Wisconsin, although there have been tornadoes here in every month of the year. So you’ll be missing the chili, but you get BBQ, so that’s a fair trade. Enjoy your trip!
In the meantime….there’s a tornado watch here right now. Trekkin’ is out burning off energy exploring. Where the heck do we go in a house with no basement? (I’m not too concerned…it’s just humid with cold air behind it….so they issue the watch).
At first by tornado I thought you meant Trekkin’ as a man feeling cooped up and getting out to explore like crazy. But you meant an actual watch? I didn’t see it posted. Maybe it is cancelled now. I haven’t had a basement for many years now. There have been a few storms where I have been in an interior closet or in the bathtub. At least, those were the recommended places I had heard.
I’m back to helping at a community meal now that I can walk again with a little hustle in my bustle. We are on our feet the whole time, so hopefully I can keep up!
I want to learn how to make pancakes.

Fourth Saturday morning in a row with sketchy weather. Fortunately I have a two-day weekend and can adjust my out-and-abouts accordingly.

I don’t have a perfect solution for the BOD election situation. I have been nominated a few times over the years, but always have a valid reason why it is not going to happen. Ironically, I probably could have served in my early geocaching years, but since I didn’t know many WGA members, I wasn’t nominated and wouldn’t have even considered asking to be. So, maybe that is an idea? Seek out relatively new members who are excited to get their feet wet. Are there people on Facebook who have been active in the discussions or asked questions about the WGA? We used to get people posting in the New Member Forum thread, and many people used to welcome them, but it has been a year since anyone posted there. Also, rawevil, maybe you could run with full disclosure of the partial commitment, and perhaps there can be a midterm election as in the past?
And while on the subject, whose terms are up this year?
This is interesting, I’ve been logged in all afternoon but according to amita17 I’m not. I’m shown as logged in but if I go to check and see who else is logged in I’m told I’m not and have to log in again.
Are you using a phone, computer, other device? Just now on the phone, I had to log in three times, since it would log out as I changed from forums to seeing who was online, then to reply here. Is that your experience too?
On a desktop computer, I refresh after logging in if I am using WGA in multiple windows. If you weren’t actively navigating the site all afternoon, it is possible you were logged out due to inactvity. That has happened to me when using multiple windows and multitasking, and it takes too long to get back to the site.
If you are using a laptop or tablet or other device, I can’t speak to those since I don’t use them.
Once again, that is the extent of my limited techno-expertise. I hope I have been helpful! 💻 👍
No issues for me with not logging in. I typically don’t, unless I am going to post. Several WGA website versions ago, you used to be able to see who was on the site if you logged in. That was a nice feature. I guess it would be obsolete now.
I usually always have to log in . . . but you can still see who is online on the home page. It tells you how many users and you click on it and it shows you who is here.
