Today is World Kindness Day. Like many of the nontraditional holidays, we shouldn’t need a special day to celebrate it. In honor of it, I will kindly leave the FTP for 11/13 on 1113 for someone else. ☺
Getting in on page 1112 on 11/12 while I wait for the water heater repair people. 🙄
Saluting veterans on Veterans Day! Thank you for your service!
And also getting in on the palindromic, repunit, carpe diem page of 1111 on 11/11.
Might as well ride the carpe diem wave as long as it lasts! 🏄
I thought we were trying to get through a page a day here.
That would be an industrious endeavor considering we often spend four days on a page. But ok, here I am anyway, contributing to the cause.
True, not that it really matters, but I will contribute to push this page along.
And to bring us up to 1108 on 11/08, :ftp:
I got my new title today. I kinda like it. What do you all think?
I like it! A lot. Although I don’t know if I ever did know what your day job is. Still….this is cool!
Ditto!!
From my perspective, I see a difference between a stipend and a reimbursement for expenses. I was thinking a stipend is like being paid, although it is a minimal amount, it is more a token payment as a perk of service. And I was thinking reimbursement for expenses would be for specific WGA expenses, not for personal expenses in relation to the WGA. For example, while it may be expected for a board member to communicate online or electronically with other board members or the WGA members, it doesn’t mean the WGA picks up the cell phone bill or cost for Internet provision. If, as a member, I choose to go to an event, and choose to stay at a campsite or a hotel, I would not get reimbursed because my attendance isn’t mandatory. But if a board member is expected to be at an event that is more than one day or is far away, possibly needing time off work or certainly commute time, being reimbursed for a hotel/camping stay is not out of the question. The board member might be volunteering time to plan events or even buy supplies for them, but that person shouldn’t be expected to front the expense for site rentals, food, copies, etc. So I totally support reimbursement for expenses. I don’t have an opinion one way or the other on a stipend at this time.
But I will add another useless post to contribute to the effort.
Woo Hoo! Carpe Diem page #3. Posting on page 1108 on 11/08
Is this your prediction for tomorrow? I suppose we might get to page 1108 tomorrow, but each day after seems less and less likely.
For convenience, I chose to get my flu shot at the same time yesterday as I got a shingles shot. Today I am thinking I could have tolerated a little inconvenience.😣
Hoping travel conditions improve by the time I need to drive. Ironically, it was still dry when I would normally start my day. Lots of treacherous travel last winter. 😓
Of course, if we can get to page 1106 by tomorrow, we can post on the date page again. And if we can use up a page a day, we can keep it up until the end of the month.
That would be ambitious these days, but we did it again today, page 1106 on 11-06!
In the spirit of Thread Stealers and its random optimal post times (FTP, birthday FTP, #13, palindrome page, 00 page, etc), I am posting on 11-05, on page 1105. It seems like this doesn’t happen that often, so I had to seize the day! 🙆
