Remember scrapbooking? I have donated so much of my stuff to worthy programs and still could make cards and stuff into the next century with what I still have. Another of those OCD type pastimes!
Love scrapbooking! It is one of the things I have been passing the time with as I recover. It can get expensive, so I limit what I choose to scrapbook.
It actually looks pretty on the trees, even though it’s October. 😡 and oh, a surprise :ftp: on page 1103.
Thanks for the memories, labrat_wr! I miss those days of frequent posts in many threads by lots of cachers. 😟 I wonder if all of those who posted still geocache.
If a cache owner were to contact me about a duplicate log or wondering why I logged every cache before and after it on a power trail, but not that one, I would rectify the issue both in official logging and with an e-mail to the owner saying it was an honest mistake but that I fixed it. Otherwise, so many other priorities in life, I wouldn’t seek out one more thing to do.
I remember when getting in on a “00” page wuld be a race with only 15 winners and double TV hise who lost out. Yup. Demms was da good ol’ days
Yes, I remember reading the thread a long time before posting in it, because it seemed to have its own etiquette and games. I actually asked sandlanders to explain some of it, so I wouldn’t make a faux pas. It was fun to be in on the jokes, and to enlighten new folks when I could.
We aren’t far from page 1100, folks. Get to work!
Doing my part to move the page along…
😈 I’m jealous.
FTP for October 15th! Big day for me today after work. Excited and nervous all at the same time.
FTP for October 16! What was all the excitement? How did it go?
It was raining pretty steadily an hour ago. Then the sun came out. Now it is a very heavy downpour of slightly larger than pea-size hail. That’s Wisconsin weather for you.
Debby, What the heck did you do???? Yes, time to solve puzzles. The weather’s nasty anyway.
So, I was attempting a 5/5, and I was pumped. My climbing gear was secure (or so I thought). I lowered myself over the edge of the cliff and…
If only it were that exciting.
I literally woke up one day last year with plantar fasciitis. After more than a year of rest, medicine, inserts, orthotics, physical therapy, cortisone shots, and different types of shoes, surgery was recommended.
There is a dramatic story there, however. Just after checking in for the procedure, lightning struck the power boxes on the roof of the hospital, starting a fire, and causing power to go out. After firefighters put out the fire, power company personnel got the power back on. Good thing, as they don’t do nonemergency surgery on generator power. It was a four hour delay, but I am grateful they were able to do it. People scheduled later in the day were forced to reschedule.
And yes, nasty weather–craphas here now.
Speaking of puzzles, I checked on my puzzle cache on a nice day this week. I had a hard time finding it. It was right where it was supposed to be, at the bottom of a slope. But the ammo can was more than halfway buried in mud. The wood camo was all but rotted around it. I guess it has been a wetter year than I thought! Luckily the contents were intact and dry. Cache on, puzzle solvers!
No caching for me for a while. Although I guess I could solve some puzzles…

FTP for Friday. 10-4, good buddies!
My turn for the daily FTP, Tuesday September 17th. Mornings are typically when I have time to post, FTP or otherwise. Sadly, just how it is most days…
