Quoted from Offical Results are in article from main page–“So in this particular case we set a time and date knowing that the annual WGA BOD meeting is on February 23rd in an undisclosed place somewhere in the state of Wisconsin.” Other years too, the meeting location is always undisclosed. Just wondering, why all the secrecy?

NOT looking forward to the commute tomorrow, neither to nor from work. 😨 Oh, did I say that already this year? (eye roll)
Anyone else use the USPS Informed Delivery? Email shows scanned mail so you know what’s coming.
Does this happen to work in the other direction? Like, would I be able to see if something I sent was delivered? A postal person told me that they have services like having recipient sign for things, but I didn’t want to resort to that.

Any schools closed for tomorrow?
I will leave the pathtag/coin topic to those who create and collect them. This is my input regarding committees.
My past experience: At one time, I was on a WGA campout committee. I joined because a general request went out to members who might be interested. It was sort of a local location for me. The committee names always showed up on the website at the bottom (this was several website iterations ago), but if you clicked on them and didn’t have access, it didn’t allow access. Committee members started their own threads for questions and input. We did everything online, but I remember going to the campout site to measure some things. As stated above, it was a temporary committee. I am sure the record of communications continued on in cyberspace somewhere if someone needed to access it. That is helpful, because I also remember helping with the pancake breakfast, and the previous committee members showed me things like how to pack the supplies and how to have things ready for the next breakfast. As in the childhood game of telephone, I think some things get lost in the translation.
Like me, I think many WGA members are happy to help, but can’t commit to long term service. Perhaps they can organize ahead of time, but can’t be at an event. Maybe they can do “day of” tasks at an event, but don’t have the time to do “plan ahead” tasks. Some people might like to be on a permanent committee, for as long as they are able or needed. Since I don’t know what the current status of these committees are, I don’t know how much further participation is needed. Even if WGA members aren’t part of a committee, they could have a way to offer input to the committee. So, it is my thinking that I would contact a BOD member if I had any time or ideas to share, and the BOD member could direct me to the people in charge of that. If there is a better way to do that, I don’t have any immediate ideas, but I am sure the board can decide that.
It should be right at the bottom of the article. It is just one yes/no question.
Ok, now that poll is big enough that there’s no way I could have missed it. I blame the browser. 😛
Thread stealers isn’t really the place for this, but I think the admins read here pretty regularly…Regarding the article about the changes to the board and adding a trustee, it says there is a poll to take, but I see no such poll. I was logged in, if that matters to view the poll.
Although I have been up for hours, no FTP for me. I am at another all day training for work. At least it is interesting.
How can it be rain when it’s 21 degrees?
my windshield kept getting iced up after awhile.
It has to do with the warm air aloft, and how thick the layer of the cold air beneath it is. That will determine if it falls as rain, sleet, or freezing rain. (She said, hoping she doesn’t sound like a know-it-all, when really it is only because of one meteorology class and years of watching weather forecasters explain things. 🙂 )
Virtual hug to the hyperactive squirrel who powers this website!
Hey threadstealers, have you nominated a candidate for the WGA board of directors?
Yes! 🙂
Hey, it bounced to page 1 this time. No smile from MGT! 🙁
It’s still missing Jim’s post that had the question my post answered.
Workout done, groceries shopped. Sense of accomplishment–check!
