What’s the weather like by you all? That ought to move along a few posts. Rain just turned to snow here west of Selzzup.

Four days on a page again…time for me to help move things along.
I just recently found out about Krampus and had to look it up myself before posting. Mr. Evil, of course, had me order the original movie which we are patiently awaiting delivery. I remember growing up and looking forward to St. Nick’s night. We didn’t have a lot growing up, but my parents made sure there was always something. In lieu of a Christmas stocking, the 5 of us kids usually got an apple, orange, salted shelled peanuts, and a few pieces of candy in one of our Dad’s long hunting socks with the red tops. I now have my own hunting socks that are very similar that I use during the cold Geocaching treks. I now realize that was always my real gift 💝
Thanks for sharing the story. I also inherited my dad’s hunting socks which I wear when caching in winter too. It is a kind of hunting, after all. 😉

I had to look up Krampus Day. My family did not do St. Nick Day, but I am surprised my parents didn’t scare us into behaving by holding Krampus over our heads. We were just told “Santa is watching” and one year, I actually did get coal in my stocking.
When/where are the chili event and the LCG event?
We have just booked the Horicon Marsh Visitor’s Center on 03-16-19, for the 2018 LCG Awards, Presentation, and Potluck. The time will be 11:30 until 3:00. The cache page will be submitted in a couple of weeks.

The chili event is Feb. 16 at Mead Wildlife Area, near Marshfield. GC80MZX LCG event should be announced soon.
