Nope. I estimated 6″ and one local channel said we had 6.5. We haven’t had the big accumulations you have had this winter!
It started out pretty, except for the fact it is April. Then it turned to those pelting shards that just make a simple walk to the car miserable. I didn’t have to deal with the wind, choosing to skip evening plans. I was completely plowed out by 5:00 a.m. Other than the timing, it wasn’t the worst of spring storms.
#331 and I just handed them my ID. No one knows me there. Quite a change from the first place I ever voted, a one-room country school/town hall with a potbelly stove and all the poll books handwritten. Small township and I think the workers there knew everyone.

Hey! It just so happens that I have to work 3 days in the next 8. Unless you count the time that I will be spending at home grading assignments.

I am making a couple dozen vanilla cupcakes today, but they will be different colors and have different colored frosting. Some will even have BLUE frosting. I’d better get started.
I am not the best example of this because I have seldom had a FTF. With so many other activities and priorities, caching falls down the list. When I do get to cache, what I find is more about the practicalities of where I am going, who I am going with, how much time I have, and perhaps considering the caches themselves as puzzles to solve, tools needed, or D/T factors. So the answer is yes, I can do it, because it is basically my caching style!
I guess I should have BigJim buy me a lottery ticket 🙂

I hadn’t planned on posting today, but this day is not going as planned at all, so I suppose I can help move the page along.
Continuing along the POTM tangent, I do remember being able to see different “albums” of photos on the old website and did miss that feature. I know zero about website capabilities, but it seems strange to me that a website upgrade would make a photo feature an impossibility, especially with the ease of posting photos in threads (even I -bold and italic on the I- am able to do that). I don’t really compete much in caching but for an occasional event competition. And I don’t collect anything so that incentive isn’t for me, but that doesn’t mean I am opposed to it for those who would like it.
I think it was JimandLinda who has mentioned we never have polls anymore. I DID take those, any that applied to me, and liked seeing the results…maybe a poll could be created on options the board narrows down for COTM, POTM, or other ideas.
Random side note–Jinkies, what’s this I see as I scroll down to log in here? The Facebook posts?! Is this new? Not being on Facebook, I am happy to see this feature. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I don’t cache enough to qualify to vote for the nominees, but when I have in the past, I have voted. I do see the point of having options statewide to vote for. But maybe with fewer options, a COTM would be more coveted? Without having found many of the nominees, it is hard to have any concrete suggestions, but I like what I have read so far.
You may have tried this and are looking for a way to filter it, but this is what I did. Go to your account and click on the Find Another Player on the right hand side of the page. It gives you a search bar. Type in 9. It will come up Pick A User, and click on that arrow to see a list. It would be time consuming to click on each profile and view the caches to determine their locations. Maybe someone else has a faster approach. … I don’t suppose you used me for the a, huh? 🙂
