While we had every intention of playing when we got our player’s card, we never could get together enough time to get out to the code caches.

We did have a lot of fun following the game, and greatly appreciate the effort you put into the game. We would love to see more games along these lines, and would make a renewed attempt to activly play.

Thanks Team Rusch, and we hope to see more in the future!

    Great idea CD!

Thanks for putting together that list, nice work!

Hmm, actually a nation! That would be cool, because then Jeremy would have to add ‘1’ to the number of countries with caches on geocaching.com, wouldn’t he?

Anyway that might be better than archiving it since then noone could claim a find on it…

hey Cap Kal, your cache sounds like fun!

Two thoughts on your post above:
    1) You might make the posted co-ordinates on the ‘dummy cache’ be the parking area of the actual cache.

    2) Actually, you can still log finds on an archived cache. It works…

    Happy Caching!

Well, the one I went with does not meet your criteria… works perfect for geocaching, but I spent $200 for it. I selected the Handera 330 (Palm OS) because it has both a CF slot and an SD slot, so not only can I store data on a memory card, but I can plug the flash card from my digital camera right into it, plus I can put a wireless network card into it, a modem card into it, or a LAN card into it. It goes on every cache hunt with us: I download the cache pages to it, have a clue decoder, a database we log every find (name, who found it, what we traded, date, and notes), plus I have some utilities like geo-distance calculators etc.

We bought our son a Handspring Visor Neo for his birthday, and its a great unit. Runs the standard Palm OS, so all the neat Palm geocaching tools work perfect. Its $139 at Staples. I think that’s the cheapest model you’ll find.

All done, thanks for the update, and good luck with your new organization! Let us know if we can help in any way!

    Excellent idea jimbo!

We have in the past looked at Buxley’s maps to try and pick empty areas, but have frankly never paid any attention to the county lines.

A goal of a cache in every county is a very worthy one

I personally would greatly appreciate it if you (and any others) would both post to the forum I mentioned above, plus also ask jeremy directly to increase the long description size. I’ve asked for 15k characters.

His email address is [email protected]

    Thanks!

Well, not too suprisingly, it didn’t happen.

PLEASE… if you would like a longer description field for your caches, eMail Jeremy and let him know. I think everyone but myself have given up and stopped asking long ago, and so he is simply ignoring me at this point. Thanks…

I jts added my vote in favor (for reference, the thread is HERE).

I can not understand the logic behind denying that cache…

Love a mentally challenging cache, thanks!

If you suddenly start to smell ether (starting fluid) or ammonia, leave quickly (before you are discovered), and contact the authorities. The forum topic is HERE

Thanks iso50. It is our hope that we can build a strong level of co-operation with the DNR, and that they would feel welcome to participate on this forum to our mutual benefit.

I don’t want any confusion, because there’s been talk now of getting together a Minnesota geocaching group, which would be the first as far as I know.

That’s interesting, and thanks for clearing it up. Your site is listed on the Great Plains website as the Minnesota geocaching site ‘This site is for the Minnesota geocacher offering lists of caches and log entries from caches. ‘HERE, and we took our clue from them when we listed your site as the Minnesota association site. We’ll get that corrected, thanks!

Thraxman, you’re on! We would love to have your participation! At this last gathering, one team has not yet selected a GPSR, the other two already owned theirs. We had a spare Maggy 315 and a spare Maggy 330, and the team without used the 315.
