The story we have gotten from the DNR (Pennisula State Park Office in particular) is that you are welcome to bring in the pieces to exchange for a new sticker everytime you want to move it between vechicles. So, you might check with the county office and see if they will do the same. This would get the sticker to the new cachemobile, but not very useful if you want to move it frequently.
Now, there is a movable solution, but I’m certainly not suggesting it… as at least the DNR says by law the sticker must be directly adhered to the windshield
If you were to say take a piece of clear plastic, say contact paper, or that decale material, or perhaps even plastic wrap, and then stick the decale to it instead of the window, then just a tad bit of static cling or perhaps a diluted dishsoap solution would hold it to the window, allowing easy removal. But that of course would be against the rules, so this discussion is purely hypothetical not to be tried at home!
Thrax,
I can’t answer your question as you didn’t say if they were new ones or not… It might matter, especially in light of GrouseTales suggestions

Thanks for understanding Ken! BTW, we had logged Radio K.A.O.S just the other night, and when I went to delete the log, there was a great big CONGRATULATIONS to us from Team Chaos for being the 200th finder. Great timing, eh? I left the log as I felt it would cause too much grief to try and get it out. I rationalized it as being sort of an event cache (at least I’m admiting to myself that I’m rationalizing it!). Think I may have left up one of the 911 WTC logs as well due to its nature…
Later, and happy caching!

Hrmph! We buy a new caching bag to show off, and Yawningdog goes and buys a new cachemobile! Not Fair!!!
Just kidding, can’t wait to see it!
I guess that since some are noticing we have deleted a few of our finds, an explaination is in order.
First… PLEASE don’t think that we are hinting, implying, recommending, or even suggesting that others do what we have decided. Nor are we in anyway slighting those that do otherwise. This is purely a decsion that WE have come to.
After following the threads and discusions regarding Locationless Caches (aka Do Anywhere caches), and also after considering the origins behind geocaching, we have decided that FOR US, the GPSR must be used to hunt the cache, and not used simply to mark the cache. Put another way, for us, the co-ordinates must be an input to finding the cache, rather than an output generated from having been at the location.
For example, the cache Prime Choices, requires you to come up with a set of co-ordiantes of which at least the lat or long is a prime, you then enter those co-ordinates into your GPSR and go seek that spot. That cache meets our guideline. However, many Locationless caches do not, as the GPSR does not come into play until ‘after’ you get there to mark the spot.
As such, based on OUR decsion (yes, I keep stressing that) we felt our find count was artificially high, and we’ve pulled the caches that didn’t meet our guideline. There were a couple of event type exceptions I left.
Again, please recognize that we in no way slight or frown or whatever those that do log or create these caches; we can each play the game pretty much the way we want to. This is simply something we felt we needed to do…
Happy Cachine!
Umm… hmmm… gee, I didn’t look

We bought one of those collapsable chairs that are all the rage, but this one is a large rocking chair. It cost $19. Also bought the book ‘Not Without Peril’ (150 years of climbing history of Mt. Washington) for my dad, it was $14.95. Picked up some cool aluminum whistles with tiny compasses for trading items, $4 each I think. Arn got a sport vest for $19. Saw giant buckets of paintballs, 1,500 for $30. We looked at all sorts of stuff, but didn’t do any price comparisons. Sorry about the lack of information

Now if I can just figure out a way to place a cache there…
Sam, we love your caches… but we refuse to search for them in your navel!
Ah, I love it when a plan comes together!
WGA is starting to tie in different areas of the state!

This left image is a bit old. The right is current. That’s Woodfield to the North, and RT53 running along the right side. And yes, that whole top section is Gaylans! The long North/South rectangle sitting on the roof is a skylight that runs the width of the store over the two story atrium. The climbing walls are near the center of that area. The smaller dome on the east side of the store is the entrance.

OK, the blinking is off the home page. But just remember, if we don’t get enough votes now or in the future, it could come back and may even mutate into something worse!
I asked Arn to put the blinker on during the last 7 days of each month. The link is also changed during those days to go directly to the submit form. On the first, the blink will go away and the link will go back to the top of the page to display that month’s winner.
If you don’t like it, we can remove it. I’m just hoping to stimulate folks submitting their favorite cache hunts. Other wise we’ll need to delete the concept, and I know the winners and runner ups have appreciated the recognition.
Nice to see more good press coverage
I had posted the e-Mail from the Fox Valley reported looking for a local contact… wonder if anyone contacted him.
Thanks Ken for giving them the leads!
Correct, the blinking icon was Alan’s idea to see if we could get a few more votes for favorite caches this month. I think he plans for it to stay on there till the end of the month, but I can be bribed to remove it early. – Arn
Thrax failed to mention that another advantage to his ‘Little Yellow Etrex’ is that they are chick magnets
We started with the Magellan 315 as it had that better antenna Thrax mentioned; there are two types of antennas, Patch Antenna and Quadrifiler helix, also known as Quads. Garmin’s Etrex line has patch antennas, and their GPS line (II, III, V) have quads. Magellans have quads, as do the Lowrances.
As hrax said, the only thing you DON’T want is a non-parrallel receiver, and only the very old ones fall into that category. Have fun, and welcome to WGA!
