Much prefering quality over quantity, we limit the number and the locations to which we place our caches. Right now, I think we have 11 that are still active. Most of them are not found real often as they are not of the quicky smiley kind. Funny, those are the caches that get the longest and nicest logs too. Hmm..wonder if there is a correlation there….

We are actually thinking of getting the Karfi reserved just for us on Sunday (It’s a small additional fee). We can haul our gear to the dock five minutes before the ferry arrives (at the time we designate), and still p*ss off the boy scouts as we load up and they sit there wondering WTH???

We took that train ride and found the cache in 2005. But due to another train derailment, we left 1.5 hours late. We then had an additional wait on the tracks after we got going. All in all we had exactly 15-20 minutes at the Canyon before we had to board and head back. Enough time for the bathroom, oh, there’s the cache in it’s hiding spot, and a quick picture or two. I would love to go back someday and have more time to enjoy it.
