Well, I have neither the time, inclination, nor motivation to search through your profile to see if there are series caches that you’ve been finding…
I just happened to recall this particular cache, because we very much enjoyed doing the caches in this challenge series of yours that still remained (and had wished the bonus “challenge” cache were still active). In fact, we “borrowed” one of your archived spots as a bit of a tribute, making it part of our own “Pulaski Series” challenge, since one of your Solar System challenge caches was the first cache we found as a family team.
In my mind, “challenge” is synonymous with “series” or “6 pack” or whatever, and there are lots of people placing and finding these types of caches. The difference, as I said, is only in the degree of difficulty.
Ah. I don’t lump them all in the same league. In my mind, Challenge is not synonymous with series or 6 pack. I think of a challenge as well..a challenge in regards to time, distance, resources and requirements (usually requiring a lot).
To me, Bonuses and 6 packs are nothing more than simple extras for doing something requiring much, much shorter duration, time, distance, resources and requirements.
As for finding caches that belong to a series, I cache for the fun of finding caches in the area I’m at, not because a particular cache belongs to a challenge or series. Hm…If I start ignoring all caches that belong (or could easily be logged as part of) a series or challenge – I don’t think I’ll have any caches show up on a PQ. LOL
As it is, for me, challenge caches do not provide any motivation, desire or purpose. And I’m fine with that.

The challenge I’m looking forward to (and it’s really no challenge at all) is not doing any!! Sorry, but I see no constructive purpose for them.
This is AstroKat, not AstroDon responding BTW.
Let the flaming begin.
but do you not own the Wisconsin cache the the American challenge?
Yes. But I consider it a regular cache. It’s only counts as part of the series if the finder completes the ALR.
CONGRATS MIATA!! Wish I could’ve been there to see it happen!
Unfortuntely with sciatic..walking sitting and standing are bad and can make it worse. Lay down in bed, and get pampered as much as possible. 😀 😀
Funny, what furfool suggested, my hubby used to suggest to me too.

Does contesting in court really work?
Citation dismissed – no fine, no points!
I hate using stealth. I don’t think being or acting stealthy (which could easily be read “suspicious” by non-cachers) while looking for a cache is the right approach to gaining more wide spread acceptance and support for geocaching either.
.
Posted with hubby’s account not mine!
In the end, I’d much rather see a cache blown up due to proper precautions taken rather than people potentially getting hurt because of all the improper ones.
It was an unfortunate incident, but maybe it will make cache hiders take a step back and re-evaluate their own hides and what they look like if they were found by someone with no clue about the game. Nah, I didn’t think so….
