Where would one find Permethrin to treat clothing?
It can be found in pretty much any spoting goods store. Heck, even our local Boy Scout shop carries the stuff. I think we even got a can or twoat Walmart a few years ago.
Just make sure to treat clothing outdoors and pay attention to wind direction when spraying. 😀

I have an event coming up on June 13th in Appleton and I will be able to take trackables with me over to South Korea. If you have anything that needs to go that way in the world I can help it along.
I sill have a certain penguin in my possession……… 😆 😆 😆
I had a Jeep till I totaled it. It flipped and rolled very well though! I miss my Jeep.
Sounds like a great series to hit with the new bikes and trail passes. Thanks for the info.
Yea! Glad to see you back. And looking forward to hitting the trails with you again down the road.

I have been using GSAK for 5 years and I havent mastered it yet. Where is the geocaching.com access selection???
You need Version 8 of GSAK.
I know why you ask T&B. Years ago, Duck used to find caches with us and as a non-PMO he wasn’t able to log them.
I know in years past,, if the PM is signed in, opens the cache page, and clicks the “log your visit”, when the log visit page loads up, the PM logs out, the non-PMO logs in, it will be right on the “log visit” page and the non PMO can submit a log. Don’t know if it works anymore though. Duck used this method once with the CO’s permission. Seemed pretty easy.
It’s now OK to disregard the CO’s intent/wishes by encouraging and allowing non-PMO backdoor logging? At the very least, shouldn’t the CO be asked first?
I still like my 60CSx. Never lost a signal and never had the torture of signal bounce. Accuracy was always within 10-15 feet in the deep woods. Couldn’t say the same for our old Etrex Legend. That thing never could keep a signal in the deep woods and when it got one it’s accuracy was beyond terrible. I wish they still made the 60CSx. I need a new one. [:( ]

Hm, will have to have to invesitgate that one….. Lynn never mentioned anything about it being there or where it is….so this friendly, courteous, staffer couldn’t help anyone looking for it. 😳 😥 .
I was kinda worried about that! I do appreciate the shop holding it though!
If you want, I’ll check into it when I go to work. 😀
Back to your regularly scheduled thread………

So then that means (according to the CDC) those people living in or visiting Door County can’t get Lyme – it’s not an endemic area for ticks or the disease.
Actually it is a problem. I’m aware of three people on Washington Island that had Lyme disease. Very likely was contracted from a tick elsewhere but one former health care provider would not accept the fact that a local patient had the disease. Not until she went elsewhere and the new provider confirmed it in test results. Sometimes physicians aren’t up to speed. Because of the increased prevalence, it’s getting better.
I was being snarky (Hence the laughing smiley). I am personally well aware of doctors not willing to treat or accept that patients have Lyme if not in an endemic area. I too had to seek diagnose and treatment elsewhere. 8+ months. I’m still waiting to get my life back from this dreaded disease. And most days I wonder if I ever will.
I had to laugh at your other comment regarding eradicating the deer to get rid of the ticks. Thanks for the smile!

According to the CDC map, all of WI has ticks except for Door County. So if you are really concerned about ticks, you might consider caching in Door County or in other states that have much fewer ticks.
(If anyone has seen a tick in Door County, let me know. But supposedly there are very few ticks there.)
