          It was nice to talk with you today! Hopefully the information that I gave you will be helpful! I am sure that the State is probably looking at this as another source of revenue. (Don’t they all!!!)I think that there is room enough for it to be a win-win for everyone….the state, the cachers and the tourists. Good luck!

            I really do not know many other details except that they were finally glad to talk to someone who was there to do the cache. They knew it was there and they knew people were coming to find the cache. These folks were really interested and understood the value that the caches could bring to the state. That welcome center was a fountain of information on the state of Wisconsin and the activities within the state. I’m sure its all about the tourism. Its nice to see that some people realize that there are niches for all user groups……cachers, hikers, ATVers, bird watchers……there is room for us all!!! I wish New York was as open minded!!! Then again…I was only talking to people who are on the committee. This could turn out to be nothing. Only time will tell!!

              All I know about this is what we were told and what was asked of us! We only did a few caches in Wisconsin. We were on a caching marathon weekend! One of your area cachers emailed me this afternoon and asked for the contact information. I passed it along to them. Hopefully it will pan out to something. If not..oh well, at least we tried!! BTW.. the welcome center was in La Crosse,WI.
