I use cgeo on my phone, but not for actually finding the cache. I’ve been using it both as and additonal source of cache info out on the trail and to log the cache as found (or not found) in the field. If you are interested I’ll be teaching a class on using cgeo for the Android phone/tablet on Sunday at the Geocacaching Continuing Education Event.
I agree, Auntienae is pretty great!!! 😀
The Magellan Explorist’s give elevation as well, not sure if this is from an altimeter or from GPS data. I know my Garmin Nuvi also does elevation and it is pretty close as we checked it stopping at some elevation signs as we were driving out west.
Karen and I went out today and found 58 caches, a new personal best for us. We even blew past 1700 finds sometime today. It was just beautiful down in Port Washington. We had a picnic down by the lake. Really really good day, and I’m exhausted!! LOL

Rob, you need to be at the campout… maybe we can have zombies at the campout.
I know, don’t worry I’ll be there. 🙂

A friend in Baltimore told me about this recently, glad to see they added one for the Midwest. I actually think I may be a zombie for this one. As fun as it is to run (I’m guessing), I’m already training for Warrior Dash, Tough Mudder, 2 triathlons and a Muay Thai fight tournament in July. Might be a nice break to just be a mindless zombie and tackle some folks for once. 😈
They need zombies!?!?! Where do I sign up?!?!?!
That is really too awesome for words!!! 😈
Hi from the other side of the state (Sheboygan)!!
When all of your vacation and trip planning revolved around where the closest caches are located. I’ve even tried for caches on the way back from a funeral in Missouri (DNF).
Really I don’t have a problem, I can quit any time…….really………
Congratulations!!!!!! 😀

there are a couple more out there. these are the ones I am most aware of.
That’s the info I needed, when we first started geocaching one of our first coins was a 2006 Wisconsin Geocoin that ended going MIA from the first cache we put it in. We are planning on re-releasing our missing coins and tb’s but I didn’t have a picture of that coin to make the replacement trackable.
Thanks Pete, that’s what I needed to find out. 🙂
