Not sure why, but I have never had a problem receiving my PQ’s. I did 2 this morning and got them with in 30 seconds or so to my gmail box. Wonder why some of us get them almost instantly and others take hours.

We did some caching in the Appleton area, and then did a few in Oshkosh on the way back home. Found a grand total of 10 for the day, and I’m hoping we go out on Sunday for some more depending on the weather.

The wife and I have thought about doing something similar involving a grave marker that looks like a tree. That’s very cool!

geocaching: we know where to hide the bodies

There have been a few found by geocachers as well….there is a thread over at GC where every once and a while someone claims to have stumbled upon a body..

Only unusual thing I’ve found is a small .22 hand gun.

We found this handy little placard you can hang on your rear view mirror. We printed it out and had it laminated. You can find it here: http://geocacher-u.com/content/blogcategory/69/90/

Though I have heard about a virus for Magellan units… apparently it is highly contagious, as you can get it simply by pressing the power button to turn the on. It causes extreme slowness, horrible accuracy, and makes all the menus impossible to figure out. (Just kidding Magellan users. ;))

    That just wasn’t nice. 😕

Most of the time when we go on a vacation or a trip caching is a primary element of the trip. I would have to say that instead of caching taking away from seeing things it has actually led to us finding far more interesting things to see and do that we wouldn’t have otherwise even known about. So I see geocaching as a wonderful tool to see new and interesting things that we might never have found.

I too have been playing around with the Windows 7 beta, and I love it. Runs very well on my laptop.

    Magellan Sportrac Pro
    Garmin Nuvi 200

We recently purchased an Eee PC net book with XP on it. We have all our geocaching stuff on it. Have had a very pleasant experience with it so far. Can use it for putting caches on both our hand held GPSr as well as our Garmin Nuvi 200 we use for driving to the caches. We purchased it from Best Buy for $349 or so I believe. Very very happy with it.

I have GSAK, POI Loader, and Easy GPS loaded it on.

I checked our house and the garage door is wide open, but no one outside. Could see the disaster area which is my garage pretty clearly. Found it to be kind of creepy myself. We live in Sheboygan, so they made it all the way up here.
