  • It seems like a great number of people aren’t crazy about the idea of an awards dinner. Might I propose a compromise? Would the membership be interested in a winter get together without the awards. Did seem to be some interest in spending time in the Dells for a weekend perhaps.

Keep something in mind … there are many people out there that NEVER log their finds.

I’ve noticed as geocaching has become more “common news” in society, that people are trying it and never bothering to log finds.

In the last 2 weeks alone … I’ve run into 3 people … the guy that fixes my car, the gal that cuts my hair and someone at a store that regonized me from an article in the paper two years ago 😯 … all 3 have been caching for 6 months to a year and have never logged a find online.

They just don’t see the point of it … they just cache to have fun and don’t want to spend the time going back online. I tried to convince them otherwise … since I “live” to read people’s log entries.

I am the same way, makes my day when I get an email about someone finding a cache of mine. I’m glad that most people do log the caches they have found online.

Thanks for the info, we’ll be there for sure.

How about a category for cacher who fell down the most while caching. I might have a shot at that one! 😆

I have a TX and enjoy it greatly. If your thinking of getting one I would suggest spending a little extra and getting the aluminum case as well. Having the case has save my TX on more than one occasion. If you have any other questions just ask.

We’ll be bringing 1 lg bag charcoal, 1 can lighter fluid, 1 case of water to help the cause.

My daughter Stephanie has volunteered to help as needed. She’s 16 and knows her way around a pancake flipper. 😀

    Addition:

My wife also has 6 loaves of Amish Friendship bread we will provide for the pancake breakfast.

My daughter will be bringing her dulcimer (think Celtic guitar). 😀

This is a particular problem with the Aztek and other GM vehicles due to a coating/film placed on the windshield. Basically the film blocks or attenuates RF signals, including signals coming the GPS satellites making it tough or impossible to get a lock.

I have this problem with our Buick Rendezvous, unless I place the GPSr right next to the drivers side door on the dash I can not get any signals at all. Works fairly well as long as I place its mount there.

I would be willing to help as well. I have some limited experience with HTML, and what I don’t know I would be willing to learn. Let me know how I can be of assistance.

Hooray!! We will be able to come! Dates changed for a scouting event I’m helping put on. We will have 4 there for sure, possibly more depending on who I can get to go.

    Thanks!!

My name is Justin, and I am a Cachaholic…..

Do you consider it a waste of a perfectly good weekend if you can’t log at least 30 caches??? Maybe that is just me!!!

I guess I’m setting my goals far to low!! 😛

I use an adapter like the one shown in the previous post and it works great for me. I purchased it at Milwaukee PC in Sheboygan, but I’ve seen them at Walmart.

I also found this online, not sure if it helps.

Perhaps we can test this out at our upcoming campout. If it involves beer, I am willing to be a test subject…

Can I log the six packs too? Cause I can really run up the numbers.

As long as you have a designated cacher along- I’d hate to see anyone end up getting a GWI…

    😯

hmmm I wonder if some of the people on the national forums could get FWI? (Foruming While Intoxicated)
