Dutch oven cook off? Karen has said she would run this if we want to do that again this year.

Karen and Stephanie will be in there on Friday all day, I won’t arrive until very early Saturday morning as I will have to work Friday night until 11:00pm. I will be leaving straight from work and driving down.

Karen, Stephanie, and I can help with any fruit prep that is needed for the pancake breakfast. Karen also is willing to run the dutch oven cook off if we decide to that again this year.

Stephanie is looking forward to helping with shirt sales and volunteers to do that.

I can help out where ever is needed starting Saturday morning and the rest of the weekend.

I have asked my son, Brent to come up with something as well. Might as well get some use out of his education until he finds a job. 🙂

Will post something when he is done.

Nice! I went on the forums with the purpose of asking if some of the cache pages of events we’d talked about could be created soon and here you’ve already done it. Thanks for your speediness Rob!

It would be nice if the first few lines were bolded and centered, maybe. But other than that suggestion I like it! I know we’ve talked about adding some activities but those things can be added later as we decide on them.

    Looks good Rob!

Yeah planning on working on the cleaning up of it today after my orientation. Kind of through it together this morning at 1:00 am since I was way so nervous/excited about today.

    Thanks for the input Becca!

    Hi –

Are there any calendar / appointment apps for my Android phone & tablet that will also sync with either our Microsoft Outlook calendar or another Windows desktop app? Our son & daughter-in-law seamlessly sync their 2 iPhones with their Mac Powerbook. I'd like to be able to do the same thing…

Gram would like to be able to do the same with her iPhone 5. Not sure if that much cross-pollination is possible?

Thanks for any hints, cYa, Jim

Google calendar will sync with both iphone and android phones as far as I know. Then you could just use the Google calendar web app for you calendar on the desktop. Not sure if Microsoft Outlook calendar will sync with Google or not.

in reply to: Membership trend #1973991

The decline in membership could be from many factors such as a loss of interest in Geocaching, or economic reasons. I have had a number of people that I have talked to while out caching tell me that they didn’t even know that there was a state caching organization. So perhaps one possibility to help with membership is better or more promotion of the WGA. A good example of this is the WGA State Park Caches, these will help get the name of the WGA out to more of the public.

in reply to: Candidates: making WGA events memorable #1974068

Events will always be mainly about finding caches in a new area for most people. Finding new activities for attendees to participate in may help some. Some ideas might be training courses on various caching topics, or some sort of games, or contests.
