If someone tells me that a trackable is missing from one of my caches I’ll mark it as missing. Also when I do maintenance on my caches I’ll also check to see if what is listed in the cache is still there or not.
We received our little piece of shiny bling today. 🙂
Of course you could just get a Magellan. 😆 (Sorry couldn’t resist)

Averith… your racer is in De Pere… and I’ve asked my son jedimastersWI to keep an eye on the cache to see if the TB gets stuck there. He lives less than a mile from the cache 😉
Why thank you. 🙂
We haven’t moved all that much yet so nothing to trash talk about. 🙁
None of the other services have any numbers that compare to geocaching.com. I think it’s admirable that others try to get into cache listing, but with the overwhelming number of caches listed on GC it’s really difficult for another service to make much of an impact.
We have found 5 or 6 pathtags in caches, a great deal of our collection we have gotten through trades at events or trades on pathtags.com. We have also bought a fair number of tags from other collectors as well.
Yeah I’m guilt of doing that myself on occasion with my phone. Not sure why it happens though, I only push the button once I swear! 🙂
Does the macro run at all? Give an error message? I know when I run my Nuvi macro I get an error message when I start it but it still works. The only thing is I have to run the POI loader myself after the macro is done working it’s magic.
We’ve had very similar experiences. We will still send out travel bugs, but we keep our geocoins for discovery at events.
For us here is the info on October 17, 2006.
There are 323176 active caches in 222 countries.
In the last 7 days, there have been 215503 new logs written by 34325 account holders. It’s a very powerful tool that’s for sure, but it can be a bit overwhelming to get your head wrapped around. I’ve been working with it more and more trying to figure out different challenge caches, making routes for cache runs, etc. I’m starting to feel like I’m slightly beyond beginner finally. 🙂
We are in, and ready to hit the road with “Averith’s Geo-Racer”!
I’ll take a look in the morning, a little late for me to be figuring stuff out.
Welcome Sarah!
