I suspect the coins are squirreled away in secret collections, doomed not to see the light of day again.
I dropped 6 coins in the handful of caches I found in the last few days. One was even a virgin unactivated coin.
One weekend a long while back I met a father son caching combo while I was in town on business. They were just learning how to use their gps and had only a handful of finds. We chatted about caching for a bit, and I remember thinking how nice it was to see them so enthused about caching.
I hear they’ve found a few more since then.
Hello again from Idaho Tapps!!!!
Congrats Brian!! Sorry I could’nt hookup with you this trip. The General kept me busy all week. I’ll be back in January, maybe we can knock out some frozen ammocans?
I want to thank Cheesehead and family for hosting this event.
When I arrived at the restaraunt I knew exactly zero geocachers in attendance. It didn’t take long before I was feeling right at home, like I had been crashing your events for years. By the time breakfast was over I felt that I had made a number of new friends.
Thanks again. You have a fantastic group of fine folks here in Wisconsin…kinda reminds me of my caching buddies home in Idaho.
If you ever make it to the Gem state, be sure to look me up and I’ll give you a guided tour of Yellowstone, or any other of our great spots.
Cache you on the trails!!
