Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. It was a fitting milestone for the journey so far. The CO and I have a lot of shared many crazy caching memories in our short time doing this. Later on that day, we got together and added even more caching memories to the list.
…as for the Wally thing. 🙄 It’s not another TB. It’s a family nickname from when a teenage Hibiscus needed to feel better about herself by tormenting an innocent little gradeschooler by taunting him with names, pinning him down to give him “a typewriter” or hanging him from his ankles above the staircase. She also used to cheat in thumbwrestling by using her claws.
Eventually I grew up and she got too old. (Funny thing, she’s still getting old. 😈 ) Many moons later, the nickname stuck. Even my nephews call me “Uncle Wally.” I HATED it at the time (which is why she kept calling me it), but now I like it. Not everyone gets a family nickname. However, I’d like to see her try and hold me by my ankles over the stairs now. ❗ Although, I’m surprised that need hasn’t come up when trying to reach a cache… yet. 😆
