I have some “Found It!” pins from Oakcoins.com and they glow in the dark. What ever it is that makes those glow I would imagine could be used on a coin.

On a related note, how do you know all this local history stuff?

I am a treasure trove of trivia. 😆 Plus, I like local history (especially the history of things “lost), so any time I stumble across something I research it a bit. That house always interested me, so I looked into it. It explained the whole PVC park thing.

in reply to: Quarry Park in Oshkosh #1926059

The “park” is actually the filled-in Lutz Quarry (owned by the guy who built the large stone house on the corner of South Park and Knapp).

Long story short, the vent system for the gas building up under the fill was failing. (That’s why it was a park with no trees and all pipes). They are repairing it so the whole neighborhood doesn’t go BOOM! 😯

I doubt there will be any more hide spots than before when they are done. Maybe you can get out there with some PVC while the construction is going on and replace one of the vents with a cache. 😆 (Don’t really do that, please.)

Seems weird not to be there with you for the milestone. We’ll have to get caught up again for the next round. 😆

    CONGRATS!…and Cache on! 8)

Another big congrats Ed. So…Multi, Virtual, Puzzle, Letterbox… Do we need to hold an Event so you can do #500?

Looking forward to more caching adventures with you and more great logs from you.

A wonderful way of looking at it. Call it cache-sitting if you will. This is what I consider any that may fall under my supervision to be. Be it a short or long sabbatical.

As someone who has only started to dip his toes into the waters of Selzzup I’m saddened by this news, but happy to hear there are arrangements to maintain.

WGA – Responsible recyclers of pill bottles.

WGA – We do crazy things for cache.

    Other shirt ideas:
    – I’m not a muggle. (Small type: If you don’t know what a muggle is, then you probably are one.)

    – No, I’m not lost. I’m geocaching.

To be printed on the back of a shirt:
“If you see me with my head in a tree or bush, please do NOT call the police.”
