LOL! Didn’t realize it while watching it, but I know the guy who posted that video. I play softball with him. Couldn’t stop laughing while watching it. Was like listening to my father-in-law and his friends talking about “da round-a bout.”
I’ll miss the “better half” and Kevin. Thanks for the fun memories. All the best in ND.
For a bit, there is going to be some confusion. There are two Wisconsin Geocaching Associations out there.
Awhile back, someone established a WGA “group” page. The general purpose of a group page was for people on FB who liked similar things to have a forum to connect and post information. This is the group page.
The purpose of creating a new social media directive is not to replace this page (although I hope to someday have the name changed to something not exactly associated with the WGA such as Wisconsin Geocaching). The biggest problem with the “group” page it is not an entity, thus can not post information as “WGA.” As stated before, a group page is only a forum for like minded FB individuals – in this case people in Wisconsin who go geocaching.
The purpose of the new social media directive was to deliver content through other mediums, promote the actions of the organization, and encourage participation. The new page is an “organization.” It interacts with FB people more like a “friend” does, allowing you to invite people to events and post information that presents on their wall. My roll as the “social media” person will be to create content/discussion and sort through the contents of this website to deliver quick bites of information through a medium that is topical and interactive. By “Liking” this new WGA page, you will be provided information and content that you may choose to easily ignore, but perhaps you may have missed by simply sifting through the website and other outlets.
I hope that helps clear up a bit of the confusion. The “other” page will still remain in some fashion. It’s purpose is simply different than this new identity.
Dang. I’ve already lost 10 lbs since the beginning of Dec. I’ll have to get signed up so the rest of the pounds I’m going to loose count.
Now that this has gone through, guess I better start working on a plan. 😉
For those of you on Twitter and Facebook, watch for more to come.Great milestone cache, especially for you. Congratz!
Good to see you’re still finding time to plug away. Congrats.
Congrats Nate!
Congrats Andy!

Congrats!
…or the terrain.
I recently had to go less than .1 miles from car to cache. Took almost an hour round trip because it was on rocks that were ice covered.
But generally I consider anything under .25 to 1 mile a short hike.
Now that’s a milestone worthy of a salute! Congrats!
Congratulations on the quiet journey Sagasu-san.

Your logs are classics ❗
The logs are only me sharing the adventure (which is the classic part). Want misadventure? Cache with me. 😆 😆
Thanks for adding the small print. I wouldn’t want unsuspecting cachers to be surprised when they end up following you for 3.5 miles on a .75 mile hike…..
…or traveling .1 miles in an hour crawling along icy jagged rocks without any gloves.
