Kinda a repeat of what others in support have said.

I looked over the new challenges and probably won’t be doing any of them this weekend unless I already qualify. However, once I have completed the two challenges that I have been plotting towards (Delorme and Badger), that might change. (Although by that time I might be feeling a little “hungry” as well :D)

Why do I like challenge caches? I’m more of a journey person than a numbers person. Challenge caches give me something to set my sights on other than how many caches can I find in one day. Otherwise I look at the map blankly and wonder “Where do I want to go?” With so many choices, challenge caches help me make the decision. They also allow me to reminisce about my past caching travels.

The enjoyment I’ve been having with the challenges is why I recently published one (Wisconsin Rustic Roads Challenge.) I enjoy traveling the Rustic Roads of WI and I thought others might as well. It’s not for everyone. But, hopefully it gives people who do like to have a goal in mind something new to work towards.

Always hated “My Little Pony”…I know, hate is a strong word.

You can use “hate” when you’ve stepped on one in the dark in bare feet only to jump off of it and land on another one with the other foot. Some “generous” family member picked up my Girlz about 30 of them at a rummage sale so there always seems to be one laying around somewhere.

Now back to our regularly scheduled pony explosion story…

When I first saw the photo of the actual stuffed pony, I thought it was a “beanie baby” sized one. Then I saw the photo of the bomb squad guy next to it and thought…”What the???…Did they send in one of those little green army men to blow it up?” No wonder it set them off. If I saw a stuffed animal that big sitting upright outside of a school in the middle of the road, I’d think the worst as well.

Glad to see 8000 finds later you’re still having fun! I can only imagine how many miles you’ve put on for those finds! 😆

Thanks everyone. Seemed like the logical place for a milestone. Everyone had an incredible time, especially the Girlz who went on their first roller coasters and thrill rides. (After Shufflz – the 6 y.o.- went on Tower of Terror, I asked her what the scariest part was. She said the cobwebs in the lobby.)

Would have loved to have Flat Jack along for the milestone as well, but Mickey and Co. wanted me to buy an extra ticket for him. Plus, he’s not tall enough to go on any of the rides.

FYI – A few days ago I visited the cache that caused this whole discussion to “blow up.” (Sorry for the pun.) It’s cleaned up inside, but the log still has a very distinct smell of Off. On the positive side, at least I didn’t have to worry about getting bit while signing the log.

I think we should all remember this was about PRESSURIZED can. It could have been a can of compressed air, CO2 container, spray paint, Aquanet, or anything else that is pressurized. Could have happened in the winter as well as the summer, too. (Read the warning label of anything pressurized. Most time they state what temp you should store them.) Pump spray bottles (which are NOT pressurized) pose little threat other than in the winter they might freeze and expand which would cause the container to leak when it melts, but that’s not much worse than a container that leaks in the rain.

I’m actually thinking of using both … I’d rather not have exploding condums in my caches either.

😆 😆 I’m not sure exploding condoms are something I’d want anywhere!

Nice job on the redo. I agree it’s much clearer now.

You should try it in late June or early July. If the bugs don’t get you, the swamp or cliffs will. 😈 8)
