WOW! Congratulations!
Thanks for all the kind words! Had a blast back out on the trail after a very busy summer! Glad to be back on the forums reading all the stories! You guys rock!
Congratulations! We did several of your caches today and marked one of those as our #4000. Thanks for the fun hides and out of the way places!

I remember when they were behind us. Now there is NO way to catch them! BTW TE, the whole “keep on ticking” thing is just hilarious!
Way to go Bob! We’re right behind you!
So am I to assume that I can’t log any caches from our phone using the Trimble service without upsetting the balance of the entire geocaching community? Can someone please point me to that rule on GC.com. We have logged several that way lately because we have been away from our laptops and internet access and found we don’t forget to log them later if we do it this way. Our plan is to update the logs later, but we may or may not get to them. I apologize if this offends some cache owners, but feel free to waste your time going and double checking our logs for signature compliance. If you find we did not sign the log, please let us know and we will rectify the situation.
As a cache owners, we too enjoy reading the logs, but sometimes the hides are so lame that the default message from Trimble is more of a log than we could have ever thought of on our own.
If I were going to armchair caches, I would certainly not use the default Trimble log! I would write glorious logs touting the genius of the hide and the geocaching prowess of the owner. That would not only save me a lot of time, but would also save me a lot of gas!
Should we all generate an agreed upon list of unacceptable logs such as “Great cache”, or “Found while on a cache run today”, etc., then change the rules to reflect the punishment associated with such an offense?
Are we giving out awards for best log post, most finds, or the like? I actually tried putting that together two years ago as an event with great prizes and got totally shot down and criticized by just about everyone on the WGA.
If you have specific logging requirements, please state so in your cache description. But then, it becomes a puzzle!
