I’m getting bored of staring at my feet…only one of which I can see clearly. Sigh π

Thanks for the well wishes…surgery apparently went well although I won’t be seeing anything out of that eye for week or two. When I had a retinal detachment in my right eye seven years ago, I lost about a third of my peripheral vision. It looks like I’ll have better luck with this one…knock on wood. The good part was they suck the vitreous out during surgery so I don’t have that monster floater in there any more. I know how Trekkin’ feels!
The surgeon used a lazer to spot weld the retina in place and placed a gas bubble in there to hold it in place. I have to sleep face down and am ending up staring at my feet a lot until it dissipates.
Another of life’s great adventures πOconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

Ah, crap! Another abrupt halt to my caching time…emergency eye surgery this afternoon for a detached retina π Won’t be seeing anybody soon.

Yikes! Scared me π
Which reminds me…I found an M150 in a cache this week…turned it in to a park ranger who said he drowns those in a bucket of water when they occasionally turn up.Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
That’s why we’re foregoing grilling this evening…there’s a restaurant just down the road…probably don’t have it on their menu though:)

Rained all night and morning here at Lake Wissota SP…same thing happened a couple of weeks ago at Penninsula…just can’t catch a break!
No peacock sightings here though…heard they taste like chicken??! πOconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

Done celebrating the granddaughter’s 3rd birthday…heading off to Lake Wissota and hoping for good weather for a couple of days…maybe get a few caches on the treasure quest. Arghhh!

I’ve sent out 6 of my personal geocoins and they’re doing fantastic…Germany, Sweden, Finland, Australia, British Columbia, Hawaii, Texas, Arizona, etc. They’ve been to a number of events including a Mega in Australia. I’m really surprised cuz coins go missing pretty quickly…guess mine is too ugly π

OMG! What a shocker!!! Am so sad for Vicki and Bill’s family. It seemed like just a couple of years ago they spent their anniversary in Oconto caching the Yellow Brick Road. Like everyone in the caching community, I’m going to miss him π

Bring up the Google website on your computer, type in your unit, and look for the owner’s manual. There should be a downloadable copy that would help you. I don’t have a Magellan but I do have a Garmin Nuvi which I can actually load caches on.

Years ago the Marshfield Jaycees used to put on the Independence Day fireworks display. I worked the ground crew for 4 or 5 years, loading the 8 and 10 inch mortars. Since then sitting and watching just isnβt a thrill. If I go it will be to please my wife and mom.
Were you a Jaycee, Jim?
I was.
