              We just got home from Christmas with the grandkids an hour ago…they had snow for Christmas in Hammond; Oconto had none…zippo…nada! But it just started to snow…it’s finally starting to look like winter here. I guess I can put away the lawn mower 🙂

                  Will be there, Chris…but it doesn’t appear that I need to bring my winter smiley kit along this year 🙁 Am stopping in GB for a 2fer event.

                    Cool! FTP Magazine listed LostCheq’s milestone and made mention of Labzone’s Mission Control cache in one of the articles. Wisconsin is well represented 🙂

                          Date night consisted of a visit to the hospital…a friend riding his bicycle last Sunday was hit by a pickup truck…left leg was completely shattered and rebuilt. He was lucky to be alive!
                          Then dropped off some antlers I had mounted for a hunter. He had a much happier expression on his face.
                          Then pizza…the guilded pig pizza w/four fried duck eggs on top…sunny-side up…just the way I like them 🙂 An even much happier expression on our faces 🙂 🙂

                            A couple of really neat hikes…although there’s no caches on them that I’m aware of…are the Elephant Back Trail near Lake, and the Lone Star Trail near the Kepler Cascades/Old Faithful.
                            The Elephant Back Trail goes up to an overlook of Yellowstone Lake that is truly spectacular…lots of switchbacks and a somewhat high terrain rating but not bad.
                            The Lone Star Trail leads back to the Lone Star Geyser which is almost as awesome as Old Faithful but gushes for a good 20 minutes…and there are not hundreds of people around flashing cameras…trail is an easy hike of about an hour; then waiting around for the geyser to erupt…it does erupt on a semi-regular unannounced schedule. We took a picnic lunch and a book along.

                                  I picked up four nice 6″ poinsettias at Aldi’s this p.m. for less than $4 apiece…didn’t even bother to stop at Shopko.
