The Wiz is trying to work his magic but a tornado warning has gone out for the Oconto area through 6:45…heading to the basement soon I think although it’s not windy at all right now.

It’s a slow mover…expected around 6:30 in Oconto…no lightning or hail associated with it though. It’s just a light gentle rain right now.

Yikes! A tornado touched down SW of Shawano…system heading our way:(

If we are within 3/4 of a mile from a cache we get a notification that pops up at the top of the Nuvi screen. It also shows the cache details if you click on the cache..
I need a step by step on how to do this. Today I was very frustrated by an impromptu road trip and being the driver, I couldn’t tell if a cache was a multi, traditional or what, by what was on the Nuvi.
Try visiting the GSAK Forums on their website. I’ve found the techies there to be very helpful with questions.

It’s a 3 letter day today. ATW to ATL. Highlight will be finding Georgia’s oldest cache. 6/3/2000 Beaver cache.
You’ve been a busy boy…all those FTF’s this weekend and now this. Your 3 letter day is becoming a red letter week!

You had some great pics…took some searching to find them cuz you apparently posted the wrong GC#. Was hoping to see the capsize…lol. But what a great adventure! Congratulations, Becca, on an epic milestone in a terrific location:)

Congratulations, Pete. Am glad the fact that rattlesnakes eat rats didn’t scare you off:)

I still have that on my desktop…doesn’t always work though. Then I hook up my laptop with Lignumaqua’s macro.

Our geomobile has a built in gps but we still use a Nuvi for caching. We download pocket queries and load thru GASK also. If we are within 3/4 of a mile from a cache we get a notification that pops up at the top of the Nuvi screen. It also shows the cache details if you click on the cache. If anything ever happens to it I will be sad as I haven’t found another one that I have been able to do this with.
Hmmm…mine doesn’t do that. I’m supposing you use a different macro than I do…NuviExport.gsk by Lignumaqua on my Garmin Nuvi 50LM.

I get the same results as raslas. It certainly beats doing a factory reset every time. Not getting the complete info might be a result of the macro being used or maybe just an aberration of the particular Nuvi model.

And I echo the sandlanders welcome. Like you, I’ve grown to love the game cuz it keeps me active in the outdoors. There’s some amazing places to be discovered while caching.

It’s too bad my wife and I are heading to my daughter’s for the weekend or I’d be parked in the area on Friday morning…as I’m sure others might be.
And I’m sure glad you didn’t hide any micros in the woods…did I ever mention how much I hate micros in the woods? Almost as much as micros in the rocks!
God bless those ammo cans:)Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
Found a cache at Little Bohemia today…no sign of the fibbies or Dillinger.

Caught enough nice perch for a fish fry this evening…now off to the Star Lake store for some ice cream…will be tough going home on Saturday.
