The American Pickers are coming to northern Wisconsin in May…going to be filming in the Antigo area. I love watching that show on the History Channel:)

I wonder if prolific posting is related to lengthy logs. I seem to be writing ones that are longer and longer. I’m still not done with Saturday’s logs (a DNF, an attended, and two finds left to write).

I think perhaps FTP needs to be looked upon with as much disdain as TFTC. To get the FTP one must write at least two sentences in the first posting slot on a new page. Do I hear a second?

So now, according to the new criteria, the FTP on p. 263 belongs to T&B?

Man, I can see the appeal of ā€œtftcā€ right now. And it isn’t as if we found a mess of caches over the past two days. I think we had 36 total, plus two DNFs.

The curse of the storyteller, I guess. I don’t know when I’ll catch up.

And I have to apologize for one of those dnf’s…apparently the park dept. did some clean-up recently and removed it. I guess I disguised it too well!

I also found out, unfortunately, that making a come back to Santa’s nice list may be much harder this year…thanks a lot, Mr. GT:(

He sure can be a troublemaker, although he and Trekkin’ were tenacious and retrieved a nearly unretrievable cache on Saturday. It was pretty entertaining to behold. We’ll be back in Oconto sometime.

I’m personally gonna recommend him for the “naughty list”. Wi Hi’s always on the look-out for troublemakers:)

Got back from Stevens Point this p.m. to find T&B were in Oconto this weekend…sorry I missed you. There appeared to be quite a bit of caching going on in the area…warm weather sure brought out the cachers!

Not a whole lot of rain here in OC but we woke up with the dreaded “s” word on the ground this morning…it’s gone now:)

68 degrees and sunny sitting here on the deck looking at the redbuds blossoming around the area. There is a bale of turtles sunning themselves along the pond, must be about 30 of them. All the nasty weather went to the north of us so only a few sprinkles this morning. Saw a great show last night called SIX. Guys made all the sounds with their voices and we couldn’t tell there weren’t any instruments except by watching mouths, cheeks and chests move. Off to find some caches and whatever.

Sounds like where my wife and I were last week…eastern TN…daffodils were blossoming; even some of the flowering crabapples. Then I returned to this…cold, sleet, even a few snowflakes a couple of days ago. Sigh!

It’s always sad when news like this hits our caching “family”…and on Easter Sunday, no less.

My wife had a week off for spring break so we drove down to Tennessee to visit her sister…got back yesterday. So what did I miss…huh? huh?
The weather was awesome there…only searched/found a handful of caches though including my first one with a smart phone!

Got a call from the shop last night about the Volt. Packrat chewed through high voltage wires. Car was ā€œundrivableā€. Never mind I have been driving it for months and the 3 hours up there.
$3600 to replace the wires so they can see if anything else is wrong. $375 to do the windshield.
Puts a dent in the plans for fun the rest of the Break.

                          Ouch!

An Irishman is stumbling through the woods, totally drunk, when he comes upon a preacher baptizing people in the river. He proceeds into the water, subsequently bumping into the preacher. The preacher turns around and is almost overcome by the smell of alcohol, whereupon, he asks the drunk, “Are you ready to find Jesus?”

                            The drunk shouts,
                            “Yes, I am.”

The preacher grabs him and dunks him in the water, pulls him back, and asks, “Brother, have you found Jesus?”

The drunk replies, “No, I haven’t found Jesus!”

The preacher, shocked at the answer, dunks him again but for a little longer. He again pulls him out of the water and asks, “Have you found Jesus, brother?”

The drunk answers, “No, I haven’t found Jesus!”

By this time, the preacher is at his wits end and dunks the drunk again, but this time holds him down for about 30 seconds When the drunk begins kicking his arms and legs about, he pulls him up. Once again the preacher again asks the drunk, “For the love of God, have you found Jesus?”

The drunk staggers upright, wipes his eyes, coughs up a bit of water, catches his breath, and replies to the preacher,
“Are you sure this is where he fell in?ā€
