A little silver-haired lady calls her neighbor and says, “Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can’t figure out how to get started.”
Her neighbor asks, “What is it supposed to be when it’s finished?”
The little silver haired lady says, “According to the picture on the box, it’s a rooster.”
Her neighbor decides to go over and help with the puzzle. She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table. He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says, “First of all, no matter what we do, we’re not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a rooster.”
He takes her hand and says, “Secondly, I want you to relax. Let’s have a nice cup of tea, and then,” he said with a deep sigh ………..”Let’s put all the corn flakes back in the box.”Oops…maybe I should have put this in another thread. I blame it on SL 😆

A couple of years ago I loaded a bunch of caches onto my Nuvi, went out and found them, and deleted them.
Last year I found them back on the Nuvi and deleted them again.
Today I found them back on the Nuvi again. Anyone know how to delete something from a Nuvi, short of placing it behind the rear wheel before backing out of the parking area.
When I delete mine, I plug it into my computer, open the computer menu, open the drive it’s in, open the GPX file, open the Archive file and delete anything that’s in there. That’s always done the trick for me ::):

That’s strange…only the first 7 logs are showing up on page 192???
I’m guessing that Birdin’s video on post 7 is messing with your browser.
Very strange…tried refreshing it…logged out and then back in. It’ll remain a mystery.

I’d love to help you out, Michael, but I have just too many of my own to maintain. You’ve got some excellent caches out there and am sorry to hear that you’re giving it up. It was a lot of your caches that got me going in this game.

GPS receivers were far less sophisticated when we started in 2006. Our first 3 units were all Etrex Legends which were quite accurate. I got into the practice of taking 3 readings for each hide we placed. After each reading I walk 20′ away and then go back and take the next. After the last reading I walk away and then walk back. Then I see which one is closest to the hide and use that one. We have 3 different units now that will all average waypoints. but I have found that to be no more accurate than my method so I still do it the same we. Our hides have a reputation of being very accurate.
I did it the same way but would take 6-8 waypoints before averaging…sometimes would throw one out that seemed out of line with the rest.

Was in Green Bay today and, being the good Catholic that I am, observed my Friday lenten obligation with fish…some Red Herring Mish Mash:)
Did you solve? Did you find?
Yes, yes I did:)
