Was in Green Bay today and, being the good Catholic that I am, observed my Friday lenten obligation with fish…some Red Herring Mish Mash:)

I personally always use the waypoint averaging function on the GPSr and always hold it against the container because; like someone else mentioned, the difficulty should be about how well it’s hidden, not where it’s hidden. The idea is to have people find the containers after all.
Ditto!

I’ve tried to make most of my caches out in the woods winter-friendly or semi-winter friendly without using too many micros…and it’s possible if you find the right spot. The container might not be an ammo box…more likely some small to medium sized container that fits in the nook/crook of a tree or a brush pile or a tall stump or hanging out of sight or covered with bark or wrapped in a birch bark coil or…oops…I might be giving away some secrets! Even at that, I don’t think I had anybody searching out my caches this past winter until the last week or two…and I think they were getting spring fever. Of coarse, Barry, Val, and I are in the nether world up here.

Ah, thanks Pete. That is indeed who I was referring too. I hadn’t seen that name appear on any caches before.

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left. “Amazing,” he thought as he flew down I-95, pushing the pedal even more.
Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a State Trooper, blue lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, “What am I doing? I’m too old for this!” and pulled over to await the trooper’s arrival.
Pulling in behind him, the trooper got out of his vehicle and walked up to the Corvette. He looked at his watch, then said, “Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a new reason for speeding–a reason I’ve never before heard — I’ll let you go.”
The old gentleman paused then said: “Three years ago, my wife ran off
with a State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.“Have a good day, Sir,” replied the trooper.

Scott543 asked me at the LCG Event this weekend. I see you set the date for the 3rd Annual Snowshoeing at the Chippewa Moraine Event for February 13th, 2016. How did you know that will be the coldest day of the year?

One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber
replied, ‘I cannot accept money from you, I’m doing community service this week. ‘The florist was pleased
and left the shop. When the barber went to open his shop the next morning, there was a ‘thank you’ card
and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, ‘I cannot
accept money from you, I’m doing community service this week.’ The cop was happy and left the shop.
The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a ‘thank you’ card and a dozen donuts
waiting for him at his door. Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied,
‘I cannot accept money from you. I’m doing community service this week.’ The Congressman was very happy
and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen
lined up waiting for a free haircut.Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

I saw a snowy owl yesterday too while at the LCG event…was amazed at how still it posed even with everyone milling around:)

Do you want a weather report? Heading up to Bend tomorrow and supposed to be caching along the way. Hope to get my wife’s TB this time and see the volcano in town. Does anybody know why kids throw shoes in trees or on guard rails? Got an idea for a hide based loosely upon Spike’s GC37CCC
Spike007 has some clever cache ideas…usually get a pretty good chuckle out of them:)
