I’m sitting in front of the fireplace and staying cozy warm…enjoyed watching the Badgers dismantle the Fighting Illini…next up is finishing a good book and maybe dozing off for a spell:)

Doin’ well, thank you…waiting for spring like most everybody else…looking at some of those you-tube videos of gadget cache construction…possible way to while away the rest of the winter in the warmth of my basement.

Awwww! My wife made me a cherry pie for Valentine’s Day from some Door Co. cherries that we picked last summer. She is such a sweetheart:)

Here’s a new exercise routine for those of you that are seniors:

 

Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.

With a 5-lb potato bag in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day you’ll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.

 

After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato bags.

 

Then try 50-lb potato bags and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato bag in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I’m at this level. )

Mr. Greenthumb and Sunshine have a cache by one in a rural Oconto County countryside location…The Utterly Fine Cache…GC3R4WG…don’t believe that the cow has a name though.

GUN CONTROL… It has already started at Cabela’s Sporting Goods.

When I shopped there yesterday. I was ready to pay for my purchases of gun powder and bullets, when the cashier pointed and said, “Strip down, facing me.”

Making a mental note to complain to the NRA about the gun control wackos running amuck, I did just as she had instructed. When the hysterical shrieking and alarms finally subsided, I found out that she was referring to how I should place my credit card in the card-reader.

After I pulled my pants up they asked me to shop elsewhere in the future. They need to make their instructions to us seniors a little clearer. I still don’t think I looked that bad.

I’ve also heard that the Packers are willing to pay the Bears to renew Cutler’s contract.

New exercise regime…I tried it, I liked it, you will too!! 

The older we get the more important it is to incorporate exercise into our daily routine. This is necessary to sustain cardiovascular health and maintain muscle mass.

If you’re over 40, you might want to take it easy at first, then do more repetitions as you become more proficient and build stamina. Warning: this program may be too strenuous for some.

Always consult your doctor before starting any exercise program!

My wife and I were at our daughter’s in Hammond over the weekend to celebrate her birthday…drove back to Oconto yesterday afternoon and not a snowflake to be seen anywhere on the drive across the state. It’s a bright sunny day here…am afraid the ground hog will be quivering in its hole. This part of Oconto Co. is a great place to cache right now…hardly any snow at all on the ground. Around Sweetlife’s part of the county, it’s another story!

I did not know there was such a magazine, Bartrod… “FTP”, that is…

Oops! That’s the FTF magazine…and there’s a hilarious piece in the Just for Laughs section about a cacher who slipped while climbing down from a tree, caught his foot between two branches, and had to hang upside down until his wife could fetch help. It might sound serious, but you’d appreciate the humor in his narrative.
