Wednesday morning study hall and all the students have left early for Thanksgiving or are out hunting. Having a half day of school has never made sense to me during the day before Thanksgiving.
The Oconto schools have the whole day off today…that makes more sense. Are there many deer on the island???

I’m off to the doctor this p.m. for my first post-op check…hope he gives me some leeway to get out of this house before I go completely stir-crazy. A new cache popped up 18.3 miles away…if it weren’t across the bay I might have been tempted…cra-a-a-zy! Arghhhh!

Some wonderful young neighbors of ours were out early this morning cleaning off our driveway and sidewalks of snow:)
To show how stir-crazy I’m getting, I spent the afternoon yesterday trying, and I emphasize “trying”, to solve some caching puzzles…I hate some of those Green Bay/Fox Valley puzzles!!!

It seems kind of strange to be lying around the house on the opening day of deer hunting season…first one I’ve missed in 54 years. Just when I was going stir-crazy from not having anything to do, I have the new website to explore. Very cool!

My wife and I hosted a couple of foreign exchange students years ago…have been to Europe to visit both of them but that was pre-caching. I think in a couple of years we’ll return to visit them. Katerina is from Slovakia and Monika is from Switzerland…both of our European “daughters” love to show us around. More families should take advantage of the foreign exchange experience…the kids are awesome! 😀

My brother and I just sold the family farm in Neva last week so, no, I probably won’t be getting over that way as much as I used to. I’m also housebound for a while now…recovering from hip surgery. Try contacting Huggybear2u…he’s got a number of caches around the Antigo area. I don’t know how often Sweetlife gets over that way but Barry and Val have more caching expertise than most cachers I know.

That’s great! I found your cache in the locomotive…great place for a hide. Did something happen to the one at the bp? You’ve picked out some excellent locations…hope you’re making them all winter-friendly. My brother tells me there’s quite a bit of snow around Antigo. :bartrod:
