Arghhh! Still another one of my caches was recently muggled. Luckily I had replaced the ammo box with a lock n lock container after the last round. This time they left the container…scattered the contents all over creation though. I’ve made a few of my hides ‘Premium only’ caches but am hesitant to do it with this one…it’s one of my Oconto Co. History series at Copper Culture State Park. It’s intent is to bring the cacher to an interesting place and inform them of its history…am going to move it though since the site has been twice compromised. Deep sigh 😥

Hooey! Now there’s an expression you don’t hear much of any more. But welcome Sarah…you’ll get a lot of hooey in these forums from time to time. And lots of useful info too. I have a Garmin GPSmap 62s and love it. It’s a little pricier but has the paperless caching option and I can download my finds right to my computer with it. Hope you get up to my area some time :bartrod:

Well now…that was just an awesome adventure for a 3K milestone. There’s so many cat-isms in that description and log though that I have to consider the whole thing a cat-astrophe…jeeze, now you’ve got me doing it! But congratulations, Sherry :bartrod:

I’ve made some interesting changes to the four caches that were stolen. The cache with one of the ammo boxes in going to be archived…I know of another cacher that would like to put out a cache in the park it was located in. The other ammo box is now CHAINED in place…also made it a Premium Member only cache. The cute pill bottle (dressed up like a butterfly) has been relocated…also made a Premium Member only cache cuz it’s part of WI Hibiscus’ Social Butterfly series. The 35 mm film cannister is back in place but it’s now a dummy container…a second container (not a film cannister) is nearby. Will see what happens…and now back to your regular entertainment :bartrod:

I’ve found out that one of the Girl Scout leaders in town has been taking her troop around Oconto geocaching. A person that lives next to one of my missing caches and who’s aware of it told me that all the kids in the neighborhood know about it. I like the suggestion about making them premium caches, but I wish the kids could keep things to themselves and not ruin it for others. It’s a great activity for them but I’ll definitely have a chat with the scout leader…maybe even the troop. I’ve put temp caches in place for a school activity…this might be something the scouts could do too.
I’m going to have to relocate them since they’ve been compromised but I’ve got a lot of better things to do than replacing missing caches. I hate to archive them though.

@#$%&* I just got a notification of a DNF on another of my caches…went out and checked and it’s gone too. Someone is definitely targeting my caches. This is getting ridiculous 😡
But Bill, the series you’re interested in is still intact…so far.
