I pay for the insurance for just that reason.

I agree. I once did a field puzzle that I miscalculated. The coordinates seemed to be right in someone’s backyard but up against some woods. I didn’t know the area if it was a park or not. I walked around in the woods a bit but felt really awkward. Finally I backtracked and realized my error, the puzzles wording had been a little ambiguous. I was really wishing there was a checker on that one!

So far I’ve gotten them all. At this point I may as well keep on truckin’ and finish up the collection.

My only other is Minnesota.
I had figured on doing many in Minnesota because my Sister and Brother-in-Law live in Prescott.
Alas on our second foray into the Hastings area Bro-in-Law went head first down an embankment and did a face plant on the path below, breaking his neck.
Now he doesn’t want to go any more.Oh no! That’s terrible!

I support paying the $3 to enter the race and cover the costs. I think it will be fun to show off our participation tag after its all over. But I do appreciate having a heads up that it’s coming for the next picnic.

Thank you to those who nominated caches, we’ve got some good ones down in our corner of the state!

Nice one, can’t wait!

Use my Garmin to hunt for the cache but I find it easier to read the cache page or a hint if I need it on my cell phone. It’s handy to have both! The thing that I like using the best on my phone is being able to check the satellite image to determine the best route to the cache. You never know if there’s going to be a creek in the way or a street that doesn’t go through on the handheld GPS.

Today’s duckies are cute!

All the talk about the old days makes me wish I had discovered caching a little earlier. But I don’t know that I was missing out too much, I was still wandering through the woods, just didn’t stop to look for containers.

Ah yes, my goodie bag didn’t contain a swimming coupon, which my kids were disappointed about. But I just asked around and there were plenty of people not using theirs so I got one anyway. And regarding swimming, the coupon says that it’s good for all weekend and yet they take your coupon when they give you a daily writstband so then you need another coupon. So again, on Saturday I just asked around and found someone that wasn’t using their coupon for swimming.
This is what I love to hear – these “behind the scenes” types of problems that I would not have known about since my kids are older. I will definitely have this addressed and perhaps we can work out some sort of wrist band for next year.
Great, thanks!

That’s true, never thought of it that way.
