I doubt groundspeak would go for that. They already got rid of the feature where you could see all of a cacher’s actions.

Bump! Thank you to the few of the volunteers who have already stepped up but we could use just a few more. Anyone else able to pour juice and hand it out to friendly geocachers? Or maybe you are handy with a dishrag and would be willing to wipe down tables? Come on, this is fun stuff! 😀

Sad to say, I have a feeling that Bad Robot is now out of the race. It was last picked up by cachers that are finding less than 10/year. Ah well, he had a good run.

It’s time to start thinking about the next newsletter. I hope that you enjoyed the member content in the last one. I’m hopeful that more of our creative and knowledgeable members will be willing to share some more stories with us.

I think I’ll give everyone a week after the campout so article submission deadline is May 26th.

One of us from the BOD will provide a brief write up of the campout, of course. But I would love to see an article from one of our members on their own personal experiences. I also would love to have a section that was spring 2013 photos. What else would you like to see? Please feel free to respond to this thread or PM me. Thanks!

              I like Techblazer’s log sheets.

But yes, you can get them off of geocaching.com. In the section for “hide and seek a cache”, the hiding section is on the right. Then just below the online form for hiding is the section called “Cache notes”. That’s where they are to download.

              Enjoy!

Congratulations on a great milestone at an excellent cache. I can’t wait to get there myself!

Yes, very annoying. I found a cache in Tosa that had previously been out of our reach down near the ground on a return visit. It was disappointing, I had been looking forward to the challenge of the climb.

And on the flip side, if a cache is supposed to be a 1 or 1.5 terrain PNG, don’t hide it 10 feet in the air where the shorties like me can’t get them! This happened to me yesterday and I was frustrated. And on one of my caches someone did this and then I got chewed out because it wasn’t appropriately rated. Not my fault when someone else rehides it that way!

Wow, that sounds so cool! Way to go on the milestone, that’s a real accomplishment!

21 done. Not too shabby! It’s funny, there are plenty of things on that list that aren’t too far away from me that I haven’t done yet. Might have to make this a goal to work on.

I’m tempted to loan you my GPS in the hopes that you will break or lose it. Then I will be forced to buy a new one. Aw shucks, do I have to? 😉

Not sure exactly what you’re referencing as I’ve never been competitive with the LCG, just play for fun. It really is a shame when the rules get twisted and the fun gets spoiled, in any game really. But if you keep your focus on the reason behind the game I’m sure you’ll come out of your experiences with a good feeling and you’ll have helped some caches and cache owners that may be feeling neglected, even if your points aren’t the highest. Happy caching!
