        Yup, not kidding.

And back to the topic at hand….I was hiking in the Kettle Moraine South State Park on Tuesday and I just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was watching me from above. I know that’s quite a ways south from this sighting, but I still just kept looking up in the trees. Maybe it was just a porcupine.

Doesn’t Woodcarver Dan live in that general area? I see a market for walking sticks/big cat defense clubs…

lol I will have to tell him that next time I see him. As far as bears there are none around here. We’ve lived here now going on eight years and still have not seen one. All these sighting are just naked hairy men running around. 😆

Naked hairy men!! 😮 Actually, we have some hunting land up north and we had a neighbor up there that would rent a bigfoot costume and then walk in front of his friend and family member’s deer cam’s. You should hear the stories! 😆

I’m really not sure that what was done last night to the cacher that has been alluded to but not named was really the best way to handle things. I’m pretty sure I’d be bawling like a baby if someone so publicly humiliated me. While I can understand the frustration of the cachers who worry about these things, was this really the best way to handle the situation?

That looks like a great area for hiking. Ah, if only it weren’t so far away. 🙁

I don’t know, that sounds like what I do anyway. Is that really anything new? If I find a cache that is low on swag I throw in some extra. I keep extra bags in my camera/caching bag. And at the LCG event they were handing out film canisters for replacement and it is now inside my caching bag as well. I’ve even volunteered to replace cache containers for other people if the location is convenient for me. I don’t really think this statement is obligating cachers to anything, I think it is just making a suggestion for newer cachers who just haven’t really learned caching etiquette yet.

Congratulations on #2300! Nice puzzle, I’ll have to look at it a little closer since I actually was a child in the 80’s.

Well I know it is hard to wait, very hard! But our WI reviewers are awesome and I’m sure that they’ll get to it as soon as they can.

I don’t mean to be be rude here but did you remember to enable it? I did that once or twice where I was waiting and waiting and then realized that I had forgotten to check the box to enable the listing.

I like how the percentages for I don’t know or I don’t remember are 0%. It just goes to show how memorable that first experience is.

My first cache was an EarthCache that I’d been to many, many times before so I hardly count that one. My first physical cache is the one that I count and it is GCVQV6. A nice ammo can in the woods by The Tapps. We found it using the Nuvi from our car, I had no idea how inaccurate they were and that there was better equipment out there at the time. It’s funny to think about now.

Here’s our log, I didn’t even mention that it was our first cache! “I’m pretty sure that the mosquitos hatched while we were walking to this one because all of a sudden we were swarmed and got lots of bites. Still a great time! The woods were beautiful and this cache was full of goodies for the kids. “
