I have two! There was one day last spring where I was walking out to an island cache (with a log bridge) in a park with my son. I about had a heart attack when we kicked up a crane. I’m not sure how close we were but close enough to know that they’re almost as tall as I am! I hadn’t realized that before, having only seen them far away before then. I think we both scared each other pretty good!

Then last summer we came across a few of them out at the Ottawa Lake Rec Area and they had their babies with them. I’d never seen crane babies before. They were so cute!

I’m not really a bird enthusiast, I just think that they’re fun to muse over when I see them. But there’s something thrilling about seeing a bird that huge up close.

Oh the woes of the short geocacher!

With all of the complaints about crappy logs lately I just have to share that I’ve gotten 3 of the best logs ever on my new cache. Reading them has been truly touching! So there you go, it’s not all TFTC’s out there. 🙂

Congratulations! And a cool cache too, I’m glad you brought it to my attention.

Woo hoo! Finally got around to finishing it and it was published last night. Check it out: GC3B5Z3. What do you think? Hopefully someone will be able to qualify for it.

I’ll remind you that you said this after you vote them off in the future. 😆

That sounds like a great idea! Then we can taunt them all, like the kids sitting in the back of the classroom. 😉

I wish I would have gone for it but the notification came on a day where I was really busy. 🙁 Have fun playing, I look forward to seeing all the trash-talking on the logs. May the best team win!

I hope that they keep moving. I actually just did something similar and didn’t get any response on any of them except one. My very first travel bug launched suddenly started moving again. And that silly little dog is a world traveller! I’m glad he’s moving again. Check him out: TB3ERBZ Sadly, I have many that are mostly likely lost or stolden, including the National Parks Passport that Hack1of2 helped move along. 🙁 TB3MH3K They’re only $7, did someone really need to steal it?!

Way to go geocachers! I see we’re now up to 266. It’s nice that there’s less of us now. 🙂

I like the groundspeak app and use it pretty much daily. However, I didn’t know about c:geo before I paid the $10 and maybe wouldn’t have gotten it in the first place had I known about the nice free app.
