Too bad that work, kid’s school and real life stuff just get in the way. Wyoming is a seriously underrated state. I hope that you have good time. Make sure you make at least a brief (or longer if you can) stop in the Badlands on your way on I90.

Years ago I used to get the blues a lot. Not full-blown depression, just a little down. It finally dawned on me how happy I feel outside, especially in the woods. Making this a priority has made me a much happier and content person, which also means that the whole family is happier. You know, “if mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy”. Caching gives me an extra excuse to be outside and has brought me to many places I never knew existed, especially since I didn’t grow up around here. Whether I’m caching with my family or by myself, I think for me it is just being outside and enjoying the fresh air, trees, rocks, water, etc. There are other things about caching that I enjoy but that’s my favorite.

That cache is only 1 and a half miles from my house and didn’t know anything about it even being there until I did the cache!

I just put this note on the cache page but might as well respond here too. I had thought we’d be able to come but my son has an activity that morning that sadly cannot be skipped. So we won’t be there. I hope everyone has fun cleaning up the park for my parents, aunt and uncle since they will be hiking there a few days after the CITO. I’m sure they’d all say thank you! 😀
