Here’s my guess, I think that there are so many people doing paperless caching that they don’t have anything to write down their coordinates on. Also, there was one time that I was going to put the coordinates in my log and then chickened out because I didn’t want to be rude to the CO. But more accurate coord’s certainly would be more helpful.

Most of the logs I get may fall into the “crappy logs” category. But I do still get some good ones from time to time. Today I got one that wasn’t terribly long but it just made my day.
Just thought I’d put something positive in this thread. 🙂

Congratulations! Two excellent milestones. And I’m glad that my puzzle got you a little closer to your 600. 🙂

Here is my absolute favorite childhood camping recipe. It’s great because it’s all cooked in one pot and then you use chips to eat it, very little clean up involved. I can’t remember the name of the recipe though:
Brown 1 lb. ground beef in dutch oven
2 cans refried beans
1 small can tomato paste
1 can corn (I prefer frozen personally)
1 can olives, sliced
cheddar cheeseMix all the ingrediants into the dutch oven and heat together over the fire or outdoor cook stove. Eat with tortilla chips. You can put a dollup of sour cream on top. Yum!

So maybe I’m a little late to the game here but it looks like the challenges are now seperate from the geocache finds. Good to see! I don’t mind them so much when they’re recorded in that way. I completed two of them and accepted another one. Not sure if I truly like the concept or not but glad that they’re seperate now.

08/22/2011 at 12:06 pm in reply to: ? cache recommendations for the greater Milwaukee area? #1952359How about the GeoIdols2 series? I’ve only done about4 of them but they are great hides. A puzzle for the coordinates and then very creative containers and hiding spots. They aren’t actually in the city though, they are along the Ice Age Trail kind of near Hartford.

Congratulations Team Sandman! And great sign. 🙂

So I was considering it and even posted the link on facebook but a friend of mine told me it was already full. I will have to look into it some more.

This looks pretty cool! So is walking truly acceptable or would I be scorned?

Really? I’m adopting a new bunny on Monday. I could get a smiley! 😆 🙄

Wow, I started this thread yesterday morning and then was too busy to check WGA most of the day. It really took off, didn’t it? I have to agree with most of you who aren’t terribly impressed with this challenge thing. Not only does it seem somewhat pointless but it is kind of hard to use. I can’t even find them! And some of the ones that I’ve checked on from this thread have already been deleted.

That is pretty frustrating as a cache owner. Sometimes we need to see when something was found, especially to judge if something needs maintenance. 🙁

Is anyone else having a really hard time reading this new map? I have a pretty big monitor and I am young enough to still be blessed with excellent eyesight. I can’t read them! I’m looking for caches “up nort” by our land and I can’t seem to find it on the map. 🙁 I really wish I had coordinates.

Just finished reading all the FAQ’s. And….eh, maybe I’ll do some, maybe not. I guess it doesn’t really seem that interesting to me. I couldn’t see any other challenges except the Kiss A Frog one, can anyone else?

Oh I know, I was going to be sneaky and change them to our family’s profile. But like I said, I just couldn’t bring myself to do it.
And on a related note, I see you just posted a new EC. Hooray! I’m going to try and go get it soon.
