I’ll admit I was a little tempted when working on the EarthCache Masters to log my own EC’s. But I just couldn’t get myself to do it. I’ll probably be tempted again when I am close to getting to the next level…

I have experienced a few unexpected multis. It’s not the worst thing but I did kind of feel like I should have known from the beginning what I was getting into. I have also done several multis where the WPs were not 528 feet apart. One that I did was practically underneath the previous waypoint!

All this talk about the Cache Bash is making me so jealous. 🙁 Why did my friend have to get married THIS weekend?! Well, I won’t be bitter. I hope that you all have a good time and that the solar flares behave themselves.

That log container is pretty sweet! I’ve been thinking of making one similar for some time but just haven’t gotten around to it.

Well that MUST be why I DNFed this afternoon. Solar flares, that’s got to be it.

No one needs to be an English major to write 2 sentences about their caching experience. I have never heard of anyone correcting someones grammer in a log.
grammar 😆

Wasn’t the original discussion brought up in the thread entitled “What will kill the game?”. Well, that discussion opened my eyes. I had been guilty of plenty of “TFTC” logs until I read that thread. But you’ve converted me. I always write more in my logs now. I usually wait until I get home now to log my finds so that I can be more detailed. If I am on the road I’ll still take the time for at least a few sentences. I also try and upload photos if I can. I think I enjoy those even more than the good logs when people log my caches.
Before I read that thread it didn’t bother me as a cache owner. But now that my eyes have been opened it is driving me a little crazy too on my caches. One of my Earthcaches is pretty unique and considering how much time it took me to get going it really bothers me when I get nothing logs. I liked your note. I also liked the statement on the cache page you listed. Maybe one of you creative/technical people can make something pretty, post the code, and we can all put it up on our cache pages.

Have fun! It,s a nice park. My kids were begging me to take them camping there. I think that we’ll go back eventually.

Cemetery caches were a way for me to get my husband more interested in geocaching. He has always enjoyed wandering cemeteries, he even used to make rubbings of headstones with his cousin when they were younger. When we cache in a cemetery we always walk around and look at the history and the craftsmanship of the stones. We ALWAYS try and be respectful, not cause damage to the grounds or step where we shouldn’t.

Ah yes, that is true that this is the forest that we were in. I should have been more specific. And thanks for the clarification on the cache.
I am still very disappointed that I can’t go to the Ca$h Ba$h. 🙁 My friend needs to sort out her priorities. The nerve of her getting married in MN on that weekend!
