Got a call from the shop last night about the Volt. Packrat chewed through high voltage wires. Car was “undrivable”. Never mind I have been driving it for months and the 3 hours up there. $3600 to replace the wires so they can see if anything else is wrong. $375 to do the windshield. Puts a dent in the plans for fun the rest of the Break.
When mice chewed the fittings off the fuel pump on my Fiesta I called it ” rodent damage” and my insurance paid the claim under comprehensive – no deductible.
Ooh that’s rough, I hope you’re able to get your insurance to cover it!

It’s my last night at my brother’s house. Tomorrow I’ll head to my parent’s house in Loveland and then back to Wisconsin on Friday.

Hello Homers Pack and welcome! This message coming to you from Colorado Springs as I’m visiting my brother, we grew up in Loveland. Nice to see another face from CO around here! I live in Eau Claire, WI now so I may not run into you on the trails but maybe at an event? The next WGA event is the spring campout in the Appleton area, hope to see you there. If you’re feeling homesick consider taking a trip to Devil’s Lake, not quite the elevation but still the rocky trails may remind you of home.

Snuggling with a baby is just so sweet! I’m so glad that I’m past that myself, but it’s fun for a week.
