Yup, my kiddos school too.
Oh the woes of the short geocacher!
Yes, it does.
The link did not work. JSonline has a story about the snowy owls. It touches upon the drama regarding photographing them.
There is seriously drama about photographing snowy owls? Huh?

We took Coco to do some laps around Petco last night so she could get some movement. She pooped on the floor. *sigh* I’m sure they were thrilled! I cleaned it up though.

Too funny Noonan! Have to change that.
Those are kind of expensive but if they would stay on I’d think it would be worth it. I wonder…
Becca, You are a good dog owner. When it’s this nasty, the dogs run in and out to do what needs doing. We tried the booties with one of them but could not get her to keep them on…AT all. We’d get two on, move to the other end and the first two were already off! I had grand thoughts of learning skijoring with her, but that pretty much killed that notion. We make up for it when the weather tempers, though.
That’s a funny image Gwyn!

-12 this morning when I took the dog for a walk. It has warmed up to a balmy -10 now!
My poor little doggie’s feet are not handling the cold well. I need to do some research and figure out what I can do about this.

Aw, that’s great! And I just remembered that we saw a bald eagle right on the side of the road, not 20 feet from us, driving out of Straight Lake. It’s always thrilling to come across those majestic creatures!

Chew tins, huh? Are they smelly?

Well at least it’s a happy face and not a frowny face. Not real exciting though.

Our family just took a day-trip to Interstate State Park GC4JJ6M and Straight Lake State Park GC4X1F6. Both were covered in snow and findable, although the Interstate one may not be findable with too much more snow. I thought I’d report in case anyone else wants to do some trips this winter. We did some ice-walking at both parks and my kids had a blast! They were both so beautiful covered in the new snow. I haven’t found too many of the caches in the north yet so I’m looking forward to being closer to them now.

I like the idea of completing the different biomes. I can’t believe I have found 31 caches in the series and still haven’t completed a single biome. It is a little amusing. I’m the closest on the Lake Michigan Biome, the only one I haven’t found is the one at Copper Culture. I think I may do a bit of a detour on the way home from the campout in the spring. Anyone else want to come? 🙂

Becca, welcome back to a life with a bit more routine, even if dates don’t happen often.
Thanks, definitely nice to not have to spend all my time house-hunting and job-hunting.

To each their own I suppose. But I’m not talking about a couple of sentences; I mean a really good, long log.
Oh the woes of the short geocacher!
Gwyn, I know we both think that mass logging is lame but that is a lot of caches to keep straight in your mind. I like it when people write one really good log that covers all of their trip and then then cut and paste it into all of the caches found that day. That wouldn’t take TOO long.

I’m going out for a date with my husband to a fancy restaurant. We haven’t had a date in probably half a year. It’s been a stressful couple of months, I’m looking forward to it. Oh, and we get to use a gift card Christmas present for part of it, so that’s a bonus!
Oh the woes of the short geocacher!
Well it’s about time! Actually, I was kind of hoping it would hold off for another two weeks so I could go give AorW another look when I’m down there for the Janboree. 😉
