Wow, that’s amazing Rick! Congratulations on the milestone and for finding so many of the WGA SP caches. Which one is your last one to find?
Oh the woes of the short geocacher!
Aw man, I guess I must not be a cool person!

Interesting concept, it may help with trackables getting taken by those who don’t know what they are. Or maybe not.

Hello and welcome to the WGA! It’s nice to have you and I look forward to meeting you in person at an event some day.

I agree with you. There were several that seemed like they could be in several categories. For example, one of them brought you to a spring but to get there you had to walk along a moraine, next to a kettle, pass some eratics, and possibly a bog.
I emailed the contact on the program page, we’ll see what they have to say.

I guess I’m not sure about this one either: GC2KA27

I thought that I should finally get around to figuring out what level I’m at with the IATCC program. Could anyone tell me please what feature this one would be? I can’t figure it out!

I would love to find more waterfalls in Wisconsin. I say that I’m working on that challenge but, well, it’s slow going.

Congratulations! If memory serves, that’s one of two of Colorado’s 14ers that you can drive to the top. The view from the top is breathtaking, literally. What a great place to find a milestone cache.

I’m planning a trip. 🙂

Well I think part of it is that geocaching is a hobby that people often do combine with other interests. If you like to hike anyway, you’re going to do it while caching. Same with kayaking, photography or even bring crafty with containers or swag. So people may eventually remember that they’ve found all the caches on their favorite hiking trail or snowshoeing area and decide to just do their hiking without the added hobby of geocaching.
I like the marathon/sprint metaphor. This is why I don’t feel the slightest bit guilty when I just drive past the thousands of PNGs around me.

Well, think of your own activities. Have you stayed very active in the same ones for a decade? Or do you find new hobbies or activities after a few years?

Sorry, I don’t have any words of wisdom, but I can be a cheerleader. That’s great! It sounds like a worthy goal. Blessings to you as you work towards it.

My son is thrilled! He loves the Wimpy Kid books.
