    The Serenity Prayer

    God grant me the serenity
    to accept the things I cannot change;
    courage to change the things I can;
    and wisdom to know the difference.

    No doubt Wet Maze deserves COTM. I wish it had been nominated a week later for February though as it’s now up against Eagle Source. Having done both caches in the last month my wife and I both agree that it pales in comparison to Eagle Source in the very areas that are its strength. Eagle Source is in a far a more beautiful area, a longer and much more difficult trek, a more unique and memorable container, and provides a unique feeling of remote isolation that Wet Maze cannot compete with.

    In my perfect world Eagle Source would win for January and Wet Maze for February. But, at least they’ll both be on the nomination bookmark no matter what happens. Note that I fully support Wet Maze as a COTM, I just wish it was nominated next month so I could vote for it. 🙁

    I totally agree…very well put. I couldn’t have said it any better!!

    We don’t need no stinking attributes!

    Thats exactly what they put on their cache pages (nothing). Where I am going next weekend.

    O.K. My plan for this trip is…Ice would be nice BUT if not I’m still going. I’ll just make the walk along the shore and make the best of it. I hope everyone else does the same. Looking foward to seeing you all again.

    Milwaukee doesn’t scare me.

    However…………..

    Appleton is another story! Where do they rank on the list?

    #1 When it comes to puzzles……….

    The only thing that scares me about Appleton is all the puzzles caches…yuck.. I hope that it is not spreading.

    Thanks to both Jim and Linda for orginizing this get together and the march to GZ. The hot chocolate and marshmallows sure were a treat after the hike to the caches. These informal gatherings are sure fun. Thanks again.

    I can’t believe this topic is back…

    There are not enough rolling eye emoticons to use to ponder why a thread nearly two years dead needed to come back.

    AMEN….

    With GC redoing the web page I lost six of eight bookmarks. Did anyone else have that happen? Boy that sucks!! I guess they call this progress.

    Reservations were made yesterday at Seagull Bay in Bayfield. Can’t wait for the hike in. 😀 😀
