Congratulations! It was great to meet you in person at the LCG event. [:)]

I am also interested in the Wet Maze 2.300 the day of the LCG event (Saturday), I don’t think I would have enough time for the Expedition. I seem to recall Jim telling me I needed to bring a tank? Since I have been called Frank the Tank (no, I am not really like the character in the movie)…would that work 🙂

My guess is that an average of 40 points a month would have put you in the top 10 for the year 2012. (Just a guess from someone who averaged 39.4 pts/mo) 8)

BigJim, your analysis is excellent. Congrats on an awesome LCG year to you too, you averaged 52.6 points over the 9 months you played the game last year which powered you to tenth. You also had an awesome smiley rate…a new statistic I created and hope to share at the event…at least I think I created it, it probably has been used elsewhere 😀 .

And I thought that my 40 points was good. Decided that I would try to give LCG a shot this year.

You don’t have to compete to play the game. Your 40 points just let everyone know that four caches are still in play and ready to be found. That’s how the game works. And congrats on joining the fun, Barry!

We’ve been playing since the LCG began five years ago and have never racked up the big numbers. But we’re having fun.

I agree with Sandlanders about how awesome it is to keep the caches in play, but I would have to disagree that Sandlanders has not racked up big numbers…Sandlanders finished 22nd in points overall for 2012, I think that is a big deal…and if anyone is interested in more stats, hey, come to the WGA LCG event on February 2, 2013…I just got done crunching some numbers and 40 points in a month is an excellent average…how excellent? Ah, you can find all that out at the event 😀

I am greatly appreciative of all the work that goes into loading the cache lists each month and the assistance provided to those cachers who need help when they enter a cache rescue without claiming the points first (I have been made this error on multiple occasions), as well as all the invisible aspects of the game that I am not aware of but am sure take people’s time. I see a balancing act of how long it takes to log a report while still encouraging people to get out and check on the lonelies so I am in favor of keeping it as is. It is nice to have a fresh scoreboard each month so I can have the illusion of doing well early in the month before the hardcore players rack up the big points. I look forward to being able to put faces to the names I have seen at the event on February 2.

Congratulations! Thank you for keeping the lonelies in the game and the many many cache rescues you performed over the year! Looking forward to seeing you at the WGA LCG event on February 2, Groundhog day. Happy new year all!

We still have a VCR and use it for the kids movies you can find at garage sales for a quarter. We have a lot of kids videos that we could swap out so someone else could enjoy them.

The boys and I love playing the LCG and although we don’t get many finds, we enjoy the cache rescues a lot too. I try to contact the CO before doing a rescue most of the time to see if I can help them out with a repair or rehide if it has gone missing. I am not always successful in getting a hold of them, but the boys and I feel good when we do and are able to keep a cache in the game if it is an awesome area or place a new one in the old one’s spot with the previous CO blessing. We don’t carry a lot of supplies, but spare containers, logs, and simple swag usually are in our orange kid k’nex box. We still have some spare containers we got from the WGA LCG event in February, they are awesome!

Congratulations WA! Wasn’t it this time last year when you made a serious run on lonelies to finish the year with a big score for the year? Will history repeat itself this year? 🙂

Great job you two! I did a double take when I saw the CR list at its new size. I believe JimandLinda also deserve some credit for their efforts to trim the list as well. Way to go everyone!
