As I always tell my class, March 21 is the first day of Spring. Six weeks from today is March 15. Therefore, “six more weeks of winter” and “an early Spring” are the same thing.
Watching “Groundhog Day” on Groundhog Day.
They are still calling for 6 – 10 inches here, with high winds. So far there is only fog. I talked to the administrator yesterday afternoon and suggested an early-dismissal day might be in order today, but he jumped on the band wagon with all the other schools and cancelled the whole day. I think tomorrow morning is going to be worse with blowing and drifting.
With the wisdom of the administration, I have a day off today. I’m going to work.
Rained a little here this morning, then turned to snow, then stopped. Had some pie and cache talk this afternoon.

Walking by the 4-K kids at lunch today. One of the kids said “Hi Mr. Nagel.” Another kid said, “That’s not Mr. Nagel. Mr. Nagel is old!” (Mr. Nagel is about 20 years younger than me.)
