I do most of my caching solo, so if I want a picture of myself, as a logging requirement for a virtual or to memorialize a milestone, I usually have no choice except to take a selfie. Bill has not learned how to operate a camera yet.

Phone rang at 5:03 this morning. One of Betty’s employees calling in sick. As long as I was up, I went out to plow the driveway. Just finished, was backing the UTV into the garage, and the plow came by. OK, back out to plow away the craphas deposited by the plow, then inside to warm up a little. Then I went over to Little Jim’s to plow his driveway. I was just about done there, when he opened the garage door. He looked disappointed to see the mostly-cleared driveway. I think he was hoping to try out his new Jeep in the snow for the first time.

Hmmmm, can I convince my passengers that we need to take Hwy 13 to 21 instead of 80/173 to get to Tomah tomorrow morning? Is it worth it to visit a Rock Pile?

If I find myself somewhere without my DeLorme, I use the Groundspeak app on my Android phone. It was $10, but I find that it works well for me.

The other day Betty asked if I would decorate at all if she was dead. “Yep” I responded. What I didn’t tell her was how much I would decorate.

The principal stopped me today and asked if I was going to see the new Star Wars movie at midnight. I don’t think that I could handle a full day of teaching on 3 hours sleep.
