The blue frosting on TBC’s birthday cake from yesterday’s event has the same effect as the frosting that was on THE cupcakes…

Yes… yes it does
Almost pancake time!
:ftp:
Like when she calls from her boyfriend’s house and says she’s really tired and doesn’t think she can drive home, but her boyfriend’s mom said it was OK for her to spend the night. Then you find out later that the mom wasn’t even home.
A boy asked my daughter to the formal dinner at her school. I am so not ready for my daughter to be dating!!!
It gets worse
I suppose I should find my receiver before going to the event tomorrow. Haven’t seen it since last month. Then again, I know how to get to the event location without it.
Fresh snow, just follow the tracks.
Bad George is on the north side of the river. The other caches in that area are on the south side. I would not count on crossing the river. It MAY be possible, but you also may get a very cold bath.
Crazy? Yes, I was hoping that school would be cancelled today due to the extreme cold … so that I could go out caching.
I would try contacting im n eagle. He adopted a bunch of the UWSPGC caches after they folded.
I got a notification for a new cache in Point today. Still no FTF log.
I would love to get in on a group hike to any one of the lonely caches in Meade. No snowshoes, so I’m really hoping there are some snowmobile trails. Is anyone interested in attempting Bad George? GCYVEF It looks like a little over 2 miles round trip.
Bad George can be bad, especially in winter. Engle Lane is a snowmobile trail in the winter. You could probably drive down it with a 4WD, but I don’t know the legality/etiquette of driving on a snowmobile trail. You can walk in from Hwy S, but the trails that way will be unbroken snow.
Ursa Minor Perkad and Kochab are both near snowmobile trails, and Ahfa al Farkadain is just off a dike that is sometimes plowed in winter and/or packed down by DNR vehicle use. I haven’t been out there to check. I checked on the nursery rhyme series last weekend and though I used snowshoes, I wouldn’t have needed them. In fact I ran into a guy out exercising his dogs that was wearing boots.

If you plan to meet up at the center, be aware that it is not normally open on weekends in the winter. I had planned to be there to open up around 10:00 am. If anyone plans to be there earlier, there is a parking lot just south of the center at N 44 41.734 W089 51.690

Phew! Glad I wasn’t included in that bunch.
I really hate being sick, especially on a day-off.
